The Public Thrive Odyssey Council

I prefer to wait. Remember the clip, guys. Remember the clip.

Speaking of clips from Apocalypse Now

BLACKJACKSIKE (V.O.). Everyone gets everything he wants. I wanted a new round. And for my sins, they gave me one. Brought it up to me like admin routine.

HHYYRYLAINEN. blackjacksike, are you in there?

BLACKJACKSIKE. Yeah, I’m coming.

BLACKJACKSIKE (V.O.). It was a real choice vote. And when it was over, I’d never want another for the same round.

BLACKJACKSIKE. What do you want?

HHYYRYLAINEN. Are you all right, blackjack?

BLACKJACKSIKE. What’s it look like?

HHYYRYLAINEN. Are you blackjacksike? Player of Britannia? Federate-to-be with Kugelland? Assigned to Thrive Odyssey?

BLACKJACKSIKE. Hey, Calvin, you gonna shut the door?

HHYYRYLAINEN. We have orders to escort you to the forum game.

BLACKJACKSIKE. What are the flags? What did I do?

HHYYRYLAINEN. There’s no flags, Captain. You have orders to vote to Round 58 at Thrive Odyssey.

BLACKJACKSIKE. I see.

HHYYRYLAINEN. All right?

BLACKJACKSIKE. Thrive Odyssey, for me?

HHYYRYLAINEN. That’s right. Come on, blackjack, you still have a few hours to get cleaned up.

BLACKJACKSIKE. I’m not feeling too good.

HHYYRYLAINEN. blackjack? (to Calvin) Calvin, come here and give me a hand. We’ve got a dead one. Come on blackjack, let’s go take a shower of daily random posts.

BLACKJACKSIKE. Don’t be an @$$.

HHYYRYLAINEN. (to Calvin) Get hold of him good. We’re going to take a shower of daily posts, blackjack. Stand under this, blackjack.

BLACKJACKSIKE. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

What the hell was that
Not gonna lie though, I really enjoyed reading that.

It’s my Thrive Odyssey version of Apocalypse Now’s script.

Title: Apocalypse Now
Genre: War drama

Summary: It’s the story of Captain Willard, a soldier specialized in classified missions. He’s obsessed with his missions and has been waiting for one for a long time. He gets one. He’s sent on a mission to “terminate” the commands of a Colonel Kurtz who was once a young military officer excelling in his field. He was a highly intelligent man, a genius even. Unfortunately, sometimes, the genius is born with inevitable insanity. Kurtz apparently became completely insane and has been commanding his new troops of natives in Cambodia, which leads to regular massacres of American soldiers. Therefore, Willard must kill Kurtz when he arrives in Cambodia while going on a way of several battlefields with his new friends.

That’s a genre I haven’t heard of
Sounds like a cool movie

Look up the ancient roman vallus. It’s a machine that rolls along the ground and collects crops. Probably not as well as one would like, but I’m running out of tech ideas.

By the way @OoferDoofer you need tier 3 mathematics to start making guns.

yea
so get the maths
then the physics
then the gunpowder
then you can get your guns

Just changed my actions.
@OmnipotentFNarr I have cheese, that should be in my technology

Tier three maths?
Alright then
Ready the philosophers and the schools!

Btw
What are the requirements to make bombs?

gunpowder and physics i think

math is to get physics btw

Yup, Oofer got bombs because of the 20, but to upgrade them, physics is necessary.

@OmnipotentFNarr just confirming, air balloons can only be damaged by ranged units, but are strong against them? You said the ranged thing in mechanical pumpkin’s round and the strengths in mine, so…

I meant they can only be damaged by archers, so only archers are taken into consideration when attacking airships. Ship units have the advantage against the three base units, but are weak to siege units.

So if I attacked someone with no archers, I would win the battle if I had a positive roll?

You would automatically win the fight, but how much damage you cause is determined by the diceroll. In this case, 1/20 would mean you have terrible aim and cause 0 casualties.

so a 20 would be complete destruction of the city

Yes, which means that if the Persians don’t have archers, I would win every battle every time

That would depend on the size of the city and the fleet, but potentially, yes.

@OmnipotentFNarr what is the template for creating a new country and is this an alien planet or earth
