To traverse the ocean, you need tier 4 boats. Right now you have tier 2 boats.

Wait, what do you mean an extra bonus? You mean that merchant’s vessels have a trading bonus and Viking longboats have a fighting bonus? What about a sailing bonus? What kind of tier 3 boats a British nation such as me should have?
