I have a feeling no matter what more natives are to come…
it’s so the stinger can keep pumping the target full of venom even after the bee flies away, cause then the doomed bee can do some stuff before it dies, but mainly because the stinger staying in means that the bees have a higher chance of killing their target
nope, they evolved barbed stingers to increase the likelihood that the hive survives, at the small cost of individual worker bees dying soon after stinging
the queen has a stinger that is not barbed, and the drones don’t have stingers at all
So I suppose it’s better to evolve the barb the more workers there are in an average colony?
yep, and the workers who defend the hive with their stingers, from outside the hive, are only the bees which gather nectar to make the honey, which are the oldest worker bees in the colony
So they would die soon regardless…
either due to overworking their wings til they break, or due to breaking something else, yea
Animalia might need to be wary of those barbs being stuck in their skin if they do manage to scare off the bear…
I saw them around earlier today, they won’t take too long to respond probably…
action: Try to decipher her message, think about what I should do with her and how to help her.
Does your character know morse code?

Sleeping in your new tank for the night, you dream about how to overcome your current limitations. You dream you can speak through a crayfish translator, and people understand what you are saying. Your real life friends are sympathetic to your cause, and they help you go to different places to feel more normal. You then see the mistreatment of shellfish and decide to become a wildlife activist. Somehow, you become the world ambassador for aquatic life, speaking at the UN.

I carefully use my upper leg limbs to type in the password for my computer, as the last thing I want to do is break it. Logging back into the Thrive Community Forums, I see domin2ktr’s post, and respond with “I hope Dragonking is alright.” Seeing the other posts about people being concerned about recent disappearance of frequent people, I respond to one of them with “I am fine, as life isn’t just the Thrive Community Forums.” I then look at my comment history, seeing the comment about
, and finding out that there isn’t a FG like it. I decide to post “The Unexpected Profile Favorite Species FG” in order to help ease the tensions of the community, as I hear the lawnmower people mowing the lawn.

You decide to search on YouTube for why the website banned memes, finding videos about the controversy. Apparently, many parents complained about inappropriate memes on the website, so YouTube decided to implement a policy “for the children” by temporarily banning meme videos. You also see that YouTube will allow meme videos to be uploaded again once the website has implemented an AI Age verification system later in the month “to protect the safety of children”. You see the uproar in the comments section of numerous videos about this. You log into your YouTube account and join in on how terrible this is.

Once you make your way down, you see the bear has yet to leave, and get on your hind legs to make yourself look bigger. The adolescent bear does the same thing, and it looks like a standoff, until the bear is repeatedly stung by the flying insects for stealing its honey. This gives you an opportunity to get honey, which tastes good, but honey alone won’t satisfy you. Using your long Anteater tongue, you try to eat some bees that are trying to sting you. The pain of the stings really hurts, but the new tasty insects seem to worth it, until you hear the sound of the bear coming back.

You nod your head to domin2ktr to signal him to follow you, which he does. Careful to avoid the trails people might use, you spot what seem like a good area close by. You head to an overhang to give some form of cover, and then curl up and start to fall sleep. Even though you are hungry, your need for sleep outweighs your hunger. You are not worried about domin2kr, either.

You recall reading a book in your youth about birds in your dream, and it appears it front you. In this dream, you are wearing glasses to help you see things close to you without straining your eyes, like you would if you were human. Using your paws, you turn the page, and the birds from the book come alive as you turn over each page. You cannot help yourself, starting to chase down and hunt the birds. The birds are quicker in your dream, so you see this a good practice for your hunting skills.

You feel so angry at everything right now, hating your current situation. You feel the fire inside, as the natives start to back away from you. You don’t care if these people are good or not, as some of the natives start speaking to each other in their native language, perhaps on what to do with this situation. You breathe flame onto the native people mid-conversation, hearing their screams, seeing their flesh burn…And you caught some trees on fire.

You recorded a video as evidence of meeting the Gorgonopsid, and then follow her to the overhang as sun gets higher in the sky. Using your phone, you attempt to decipher her message on a Morse Code translator, which turns out to be her username - Daganfox. You start to think about what you should do, since her parents are currently in quite a predicament against the current U.S. Government, and are unsure if you want to tell Daganfox about what is happening to her community. This reminds of the situation with Dragonking, and wonder if other people on the Thrive Community forum who may have been transformed are in a similar situation. You notice Daganfox has fallen asleep, and look around for anything to make shelter.
Action: Wake up and see if anything has happened
Action - Attempt to watch my favorite channels on YouTube, and if that does not work, check the news online.
Also animalia must have quite the taste to prefer eating the bees despite the stings…
Action: Try to get people to protest the meme ban outside of YT HQ. Of course, I won’t come, because I’m allergic to going outside not letting people know I’m a dinosaur.
I am not sure you’ll get many to protest that way…
Action: Consume the native’s burnt corpses. (This is starting to get dark…)
Does the dragon get hurt from eating something actively burning?
Oh uh… I didn’t think about that. Although, if they can breathe fire they can probably handle it for a short amount of time before their saliva (unless the saliva is flammable) or other fluids extinguish it.
