Thrive Civilization Game (Part 3 Reboot)

Im just a pyro democrcy that might have subtle genicidal tendicies.

But progress!

Also silver carpet would melt willoes species

How many votes do we even have?

1 but you can do more for exponentially worse odds

i could also just use the tried and true method of “belgium around and find out” which is basically just the scientific method without writing it down

humans knew how to make light before we knew what photons were

they could modify a gene for luciferins and luciferases to make them produce light in the radiowave frequencies

they have a cytoskeleton that, like with all cells, scales in proportions with their size so they would be less vulnerable than you seem to think. also there are cells that can regenerate from just some cytoplasm, one nucleus, and a piece of a membrane

no it wouldn’t. not until it was 5 inches thick anyway as they can produce more muscle fibers to move more forcefully.

they literally use nanowires that move signals faster than you can process them. if it lit up a light spanning one square meter and moved it forwards as quickly as it could you would not even notice it.

not really. i could just send it to my brain to be used as fuel and then turn it into a protein for O2 storage.

only their surface, which can easily be repaired, would be affected. they can easily get rid of any surface that touched antibiotics and, if needed, they can move their more important organelles inwards while moving less important ones out to create as much space as possible between them and the antibiotics as their cytoskeleton is able to be modified at will.

hemocyanin production go BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

not if i dissolved it first or even just made this wonderful, groundbreaking invention called shoes.
how do i make bold text
also did y’all forget i have this

with it i can metabolize almost any metal. infact with that trait i must eat metal. your copper bullets are merely candy to me.

No, the scientific method is qbout searching for evidence that either supports or refutes an hypothesis, experiments arent made randomly.

Also, it still wouldnt work, you can try to create an ftl engine the entirety of your life, but if you dont habe the necessary knowledge, resources and tools you will never succeed.

That’s because humans used chemical reactions that create photons as a byproduct and humans have organs specialized in detecting photons so they already know how to use light.

To make radiowaves you need to know how to make them and then to USE them you need to be able to detect them.

Only because they can recreate genes doesnt mean they can modify them, also, they still have no idea what a gene is.

The cytoskeleton would greatly reduce their mobility.

Yes it would.

Thing which is impossible for qn unicellular being.

You cant use it for fuel and you have no way of turning it to proteins.

Also, even if you could you would still die since large amounts of it would still be fatal.

Which means they die.

that is a monumental task and not even remotely possible if you just have gene editing tech and an extremely fast nervous system built into your species going for you.

and the draculus could also do that.

their biological specialty is literally their ability to make and modify genes. they could just copy it and mess with it until they get it right.

no. it wouldn’t. they have these cool things called joints. you have them too. that’s why you aren’t just a statue.

it would make them heavier but until it is 5 inches thick it’s weight is not a problem due to being able to make muscle fibers

if it is possible for a multicellular organism it is just as possible for a unicellular organism with modules. they’re these things that separate the cytoplasm of their bodies to allow specialized tissues.

my species literally runs on

so yes. i can.
also i literally have ribosomes

i could just excrete the excess copper to use later

they have 3 sets of four layer lipid membranes and proteins to increase durability like collagen with a thin layer of water between them for “skin”. so no. a simple chemical burn wouldn’t kill them any more than it kills me or you. actually it might damage them slightly more but it still won’t kill them

vote: In order to survive better, we must have a longer range weapon - a bow can help us with hunting and defense if needed

No (too lazy to say more)

Vote: expand the farmland in order to encourage population growth.

oh sky gods
this exploded a bit, didnt it?
well off for the currently biggest power to make its votes…

assuming things work like the last time still, two votes for me right?
so
V1: invent currency and economics
V2: invent pottery

My character, which is in charge according to you, knows these things. Thank you for giving me a metagame tool, I no longer need to research things as long as their alive.

You do realize you are not Daniel, right?

You do realize that I’m taking actions that my character would do in this position right?

But you are not the character,

@Skyguy98 when willow fails the gene thing can you get him to like make a cancer version of the slimes, like zombies.

Yes, but I control the civ, and my character is the leader, therefore anything I do, he does/ tells everyone to do.

You are Daniel?

except since he is the game master he decides how much knowledge your character has.

Also, for all we know your character Danial is dead and now “Danial” is just an honorary title given to the ruler of the tribe.

As you can see, he is currently the actual leader of the tribe.

Don’t say you can just absorb or ignore it, molecular biochemistry says that’s impossible for carbon-based life. Copper-based corrosives are lethal to anything.
Yes you’re adaptive, but you’re not an anime character. Biological adaptations like you mentioned would take a minimum of days for the small ones, and generations for the most complex. Even tardigrades need fair warning to enter a tun state. Rapid immediate changes still can kill them.
Also, “hemocyanin production don’t go BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR”, a hail of bullets is a hail of bullets. Your flesh go splat. Doesn’t matter what they’re made of, they’re still incredibly injurious. However if they don’t create an exit wound, they’re even more lethal and can get pulled along by a circulatory system to cause more damage to whatever passes for your heart, or if beyond that, the shrapnel could end up in your brain and cause stroke, etc. Unless your outer surface can resist 3,100 Joules on impact. (Note that’s only a musket shot, and not a more modern high-caliber weapon, which would require an exponentially higher resistance. For example, a modern day shotgun firing slugs will have an impact of about 12,000 Joules. Ouch time.)

But don’t mind me, that’s just an assessment from an engineering and biochemistry hobbyist.
I’m just gonna sit in my corner and make life a marvelous Song.

What are copper bullets for?

Solid copper bullets are good penetrators, perhaps too good. Even with expansion the bullet retains weight better than a lead-cored bullet. The expansion with copper is more symmetrical as well as allowing a straighter drive into the tissue. They are much less prone to fragmentation.

Cu2S can be prepared by heating copper strongly in sulfur vapour or H2S . The reaction of copper powder in molten sulfur rapidly produces Cu2S, whereas pellets of copper require much higher temperature. Cu2S reacts with oxygen to form SO2: 2 Cu2S + 3 O2 → 2 Cu2O + 2 SO.

HEHEHEH

that wouldn’t happen. unicellular organisms cannot get cancer

you just said copper last time. also if i found a way to make liquid hydrocarbons then i could make an organism capable of metabolizing it as silica based life would be stable in liquid hydrocarbons. also i found a way it could be metabolized by carbon based life. just fill the area with sulfur bicarbonate until the sulfur dioxide is gone.

or alternatively do this
step 1: dodge the bullet with your ungodly fast reaction time.
step 2: eat the bullet.
setup: have a conductive or fiber optic reactionary system.

and the only toxic product of that reaction(if you make hemocyanin) is the SO2 which is neutralized by sodium bicarbonate. 7cc of a 1.5% concentration of sodium bicarbonate lowers the concentration of sulfur dioxide by 1PPM in a room of 1,000 cubic feet.
again. if i can dodge em i can eat em. all i gotta do is just not make the bodies of my people require a PH lower than 7. hemocyanin production go BRRRRRRRRRRR.
