Thrive Meme Contest #5

I think 2050s minimum.

Eh the development is likely to accelerate at some point, when we get to aware likely.

Let’s take an optimistic route and say that each next stage of development is made 2 times faster than the previous one.

The first stage took (if we count starting from 2010) 15 years, and there are 8 stages. Now all we gotta do is calculate the sum of all of the elements in a geometric progression.

So, the result is (15 * (1 - (1/2)^8))/(1 - 1/2) or roughly 30 years. So, 2050s.

That’s a positive estimation. But the stages of the game get more complex as the development goes on, and via snowball effect more and more time is needed.

Proper development on it started much later. Also multicellular is expected to only last a year in the active development phase and after that it could take a bit longer again (like 3 years?) for a phase to be completed.

If you are awake during the night when a PU is coming then what happens when a devblog/release is upcoming?

Now that I think about it does auto-evo have any sort of an icon or a symbol associated with it?

I don’t think so. Maybe it’s just a thrive icon.

I feel like it should gain some kind of a symbolage so that’s you don’t need to show the literal algorithm pages of the A-E for all to understand what you’re talking about.

It should be a finch, to reference darwin’s finches (that then led to the theory of evolution and natural selection and such)

Maybe we should have a contest for what icon ought A-E to get for the 1.0 celebrations?

Inspired by the latest dev forum post.

Are giraffes trees too?

Giraffes are not sessile. Usually.

What DEFINES a β€œtree” then? Just being sessile, sturdy and tall?

If a coral (underwater) become tall enough, using your definition of being sessile, sturdy and tall, could it then be considered a β€œtree”?

I think that’s the idea. β€œSturdy” being what prevents it from being an Arborescent Herb. Banana plants are tall and sessile, but they are not sturdy. Also, some subshrubs can be tall . . . part of the year. 8 feet tall in spring and summer, a stump in autumn and winter.

Ooh, good question. Hmm.

Maybe it also needs to be abovewater in some %?

Aren’t there Kelp forests underwater, despite Kelp not being called trees? So are Kelp trees now in Thrive?
