Thatโs how class action lawsuits work. The one lawsuit represents the entire class.
I will not be doing anything to opt out, because the only reason why youโd want to opt out if you yourself is planning on suing Valve (or hoping for a future class action lawsuit with more merit). And thatโs not something Iโm planning on doing. So being forced to be part of the class is not really any kind of issue and is standard for a class action. I donโt think it is really going to result in much or maybe even nothing, but again that just means that we cannot sue Valve for the same thing in the future, which is not something I was considering doing anyway.
So in summary, this doesnโt seem significant and require action from us. And that video is clickbait BS, and trying to scare people anyway without actually providing useful guidance.
