i uninstalled several years ago, i dont get the influencer/scrolling combo lifestyle, but that might have been because i didnt have friends or fashion sense or makeup styles i actually liked or the confidence to joke in a tone of voice that was actually funny or any social skills coming off covid or any aesthetic knowledge that appealed to anyone who wasnt a huge nerd or music taste. I now have all of those, but i cant go back because now that im getting my life together, it gets evil! I think nowadays everyone just uses instagram for that, but i hate instagram

oh sorry my original point had a typo. for practical purposes they do have a monopoly. games arent like groupchats and discord servers, vague competition isnt enough, people will not treat anythign but a discord server like a discord server. Discord links are trusted and servers are considered a reputable place to go for information. young people are often too scared to post on a forum even thougu theyre older and more trustworthy in most cases.
