LexarVSE
Hi everyone! ![]()
My name is LexarVSE, I’m 13 years old, and I’ve been programming since I was 10.
I absolutely love building complex systems, simulations, and figuring out how things work under the hood. Thrive caught my attention because it’s not just a game – it’s a scientific model of evolution, and that’s awesome! ![]()

My programming experience so far: ![]()
Godot (GDScript): I’m working on my own 2D game with conveyor belts, resource management, and building mechanics – it’s like a mini-Factorio!
A few months ago I also started making my own evolution game called VSE, and I’ve tried to create an infinite alchemy game too. I also use Godot for prototyping new ideas. ![]()
C++: I built a voxel engine from scratch with OpenGL, instancing, and memory optimization (bit masks!).
That was a great learning experience in low-level graphics and performance.
Lua: I created a procedural biome generator for Roblox with 45 biomes, climate simulation, and Perlin noise – all generated in real time! ![]()

PHP, JavaScript, CSS, HTML: I’ve built my own websites from scratch. ![]()
Servers & DevOps: I’ve set up servers with Docker, Nginx, and worked on both frontend and backend development.
I even played around with ESP-32 for augmented reality glasses – just for fun! ![]()
What I love besides coding: ![]()
Geography & maps
: Since childhood, I’ve been obsessed with maps – I used to study atlases for hours and plan imaginary journeys. I recently found a Soviet atlas from 1983 – it’s a treasure trove of data! ![]()
Music
: I play the accordion (yes, really!
). I’m still learning, but I enjoy it a lot. Maybe one day I’ll try to compose something for Thrive – who knows? ![]()
Philosophy & worldbuilding
: I have my own philosophical framework called “The Codex of VSE” – it’s about freedom, choice, and the nature of reality. ![]()

Why Thrive? ![]()
Thrive is the perfect blend of science, creativity, and programming. Simulating evolution from a single cell to a spacefaring civilization is exactly the kind of ambitious project that inspires me!
I want to help the project – fixing bugs, improving performance, and working on game mechanics. I’m ready to start small and learn together with all of you. ![]()
I’m truly excited to be part of this community!
If you have any suggestions on where I can be most helpful, please let me know! ![]()
Thanks for having me,
LexarVSE ![]()
