Which art piece is yours?
Also all of the artpieces will be used in my spec evo videos. One of the changes I made for this contest is that the artist chooses if their piece will be considered for the loading screen artwork vote that will be done by the dev team.
@aah31415 Its your choice to decide if a piece you make will be voted on for a loading screen. If you look at all the art I made for the previous spec evo video I clearly have very low art skills but I have no issue making pieces to fill up the slots I need for the videos. Even if I put effort into an art piece I have a hard time handling complex 3D shadows and movement.

Is the thing with the art contest votes still that they can theoretically let in more than 1 artpiece per a contest into the loading screen gallery?

I went with 1 for the first contest due to only having three arts submitted. Depending on how many arts are submitted for this contest Iβll increase the amount of winning slots.
@Mr.Pukilar It is your choice when you post it into the art submission thread regarding if you want it to be a part of the loading screen vote. Regardless of your choice I want to see the final result (which I can still use although it may be in a future video as no clade currently has that angler fish like structure, or like with one of the clades in the current contest, youβre piece will influence a future clade or a subclade in the upcoming video)

That is a choice for you to make. (I felt that the first contest where all artwork would be voted on may have been too far and may have been a factor in the low number of arts submitted)
Also I do like how the piece looks more like a scan of a fossil (could be a cool piece to save for the society stage related images)

So far no, but I may add an additional winning slot for every three arts submitted for the vote

Do I need to edit my description for art submission about it being also for the loading screen?
I just edited my art description to include it for Loading Screen art contest.
Quite a bit of those you have shared with us over your stay in this forumβ¦
Would there eventually be a cap on the slots?

@AnthropocenianAge Yes. For the ones I posted for the discord users I asked them if they wanted to have them as part of the vote before mentioning it with their submission.
@aah31415 At some point certainly, but that will only be a consideration once we have a massive number of arts being submitted for the vote.
