Okay. That’s also where the actual project begins as well so this is definitely aware stage and forward. The story part of the loading screen artwork will begin with the society stages.

It is but right now it isn’t as focused on that as I don’t have the specific evolutionary path determined yet. I have criteria I’m going for so when I begin to evolve towards the sapient species I’ll have a better idea of which clade they’ll be apart of. Plus I’m hoping to get Mr42 to create a long panorama art piece showing the species along the evolutionary path from allustava to the obligate sapient hexaquill

I presume that panorama would be beyond the contests since I presume it’d sweep any contest that’d be hosting it?

Well not for it sweeping away any competition, but more so that it will be a special art piece so that there are art pieces of all the different clades that the obligate sapient species is a part of.

It would have to be broken up into a lot of smaller images (one for each clade featured in it) to be loading screens. The intact panorama likely wouldn’t be easy to see given it would most certainly be quite long

That would be a discussion to have with the dev team. Although it could be a good way to show the idea of thrive (if the previous and society stages were added to it)

I know they had something like it on the physical disc box but it wasn’t of a single species as they were all different

We should make it one species if we ever end up doing that since it better illustrates the evolution over time
Also if Thrive was to ever get a physical disc box release, would there also be an art contest held for the artwork of the box?

True, but if everyone expects it to only be for the loading screen contest part then those who don’t have the same skill level would not feel like they could submit their artwork.
