I have some knowledge about history and I’ll try to make a timeline what will happen if WW1 didn’t happen. But of course I don’t claim it’s accurate and I’m open to criticism so this alternative timeline can become more accurate. Also, for the sake of the alternative, let’s pretend that the European powers are done with the Imperialism [or something similar to “done with the Imperialism”] and the arms race.
Also, let’s pretend that Bosnia wasn’t integrated into the A-H and the serbs weren’t that pissed (tho they are very pissed at the Austrians even and without the annexation of Bosnia as far as I know, but I don’t think I can do more.)
1914 - A normal year with nothing interesting happening in it. [Nothing interesting like no world war 1 I mean XD]
1915 - Nothing interesting is happening. Except that the US still doesn’t give the women right to vote. Oh, also, Japan is bullying China XD Okay, the last wasn’t funny.
1916 - As far as I know, nothing interesting. Perhaps revolts in Russia? But I’m not sure.
1917 - Now comes the interesting part. So, Russia and Germany are still pretty much enemies and most likely nothing will change that. At least I believe so. Anyway, Russia is most likely still unstable, but I am not sure if Lenin will get the chance to start a revolution without the Germans. And I’m not sure if they will help him considering they aren’t at war with world and thus there’s no reason for them to help someone who is against the Monarchist system of rule. Anyway, I believe that sooner or later a revolution in Russia will start, but I can’t say when, so I hope someone from the forum will give me a hand.
1918-1930 - 1. So, the rise of fascism in Italy probably isn’t happening. The reason Mussolini changed his believes was because WW1 (basically, he thought the war is a great chance for the Socialism to spread, but his comrades were pacifists and kicked him out of the socialist party and he decided that Socialism wasn’t cool anymore and thus the Fascism was created XD) and without it it’s hard to say what will happen with him (at least for me it’s hard to say so). On the other hand of course we have the Italian claims on the Austrian land, so maybe a Nationalist movement may rise. I’ll leave that to someone with more knowledge. 2. The crumble of the Ottoman and the Austrian Empire(s). At least in my head, the British and the French will see a chance to take land (yeah, I said no Imperialism, but XD) and thus they support separatist movements in the Ottoman Empire and it starts to fail. The Austrian Empire is tricky as it may somehow “evolve” in federation, depends on what their policies are at the moment. I’ll leave that to someone with more knowledge. 3. I am not sure if the great depression will happen, but if it doesn’t than Europe may remain the dominant power until the '50 at least.
'30-'50s - So, the Ottoman Empire is long gone, but unlike in real life, Turkey is relatively bigger, or at least I think it should be bigger. The AH is, well, under a question. Anyway, the Russian Empire will collapse mainly because the Socialism was still on a rise and I doubt Russia will get any better under the Monarchy. So yeah, most likely the Russian Revolution started and the socialists won. The Germans most likely will become parliamentary Monarchy where the Kaiser is just a figure that has no real power. and will keep their role as one of the world leaders. Italy is under a question, as I’m not sure what path will it take. It’s possible for them to become socialists. It’s safe to say that the Japanese are going to bully China until the US embargoes them. Unfortunately for the Japanese, they can’t attack the Dutch or any other European power because the Nazis aren’t here occupying Europe. So the Empire is probably going to retreat from most of China and that will start the fall of the Asian Empire. Anyway, thanks to the Japanese, China is now little more united and soon will kick out the Europeans from their territory.
'50s-2000 - the USSR probably never got the chance to spread the Socialist ideology. The European Empires no longer exist because the decolonisation. China is most likely a republic. The Japanese Empire is no more, but Japan is probably holding Taiwan (I’m not sure if the Chinese can beat Japan on water in order to take Taiwan and the world probably doesn’t care, but I am not sure). Korea is united and most likely democratic. The USSR actually may have continued to exist if it was more liberal. The space race probably didn’t happen but if it did then it wasn’t between the US-USSR. Maybe between the US vs Germany or the UK or France.
2000-2019 - Probably nothing interesting.
So, as I said, I would be more than happy if someone told me my mistakes and improved the timeline
