That is a good point. So I guess “Disturbed Forest” and/or “Managed Forest” could be Social stage+ subtypes. I will fix it now.

Would we also want there to be a forest subtype for “fire forests” (as in forests where wildfires occur frequently and take an important part in their ecology)?

Depends on when and where I suppose? Using one term for one situation is usually better.

Indeed, in pre-social stages an old-growth forest is just “any forest”, unless there’s been an enormous catastrophe just now.

Many forests have fires, the end result that has on the vegetation is what would be classified. Is it sparser than other forests? Less underbrush? OR not because it just grows back strongly in between the fires?

Again, we’re talking about millennia here. The fact that it’s caused by fire does not matter unless the player experiences the fire.
