I found this video about AIs that exhibit a flocking behaviors, it could maybe be used for late multicellular or early aware for fish-like or bird-like organisms. Also the creator made the source code available: https://github.com/SebLague/Boids/tree/master

I was thinking about Boids recently too. I’m trying to figure out how to handle clustering in the auto-evo algorithm.
