Given that there are so many different regions of the brain alone, which is a single organ, do you think that it should be given its own editor where you edit specific regions of it?
It probably wonβt be given a specific editor but instead be a part of the wider Macroscopic/Aware editor and be a part of the tissue system.
I agree with Flagella. As much as I would love to custom evolve different parts of a brain and have different brain organizations, it would be too complicated for a lot of potential Players.
Maybe in aware and awakening there would be a subsection dedicated to your speciesβ nervous system?
I do wonder, if an organism had more than one head structure, could each brain evolve to have different specializations? Like one brain is logical, while the other brain is creative?
Perhaps, though as far as Iβm aware we donβt have such animals with 2 or more βmajor brainsβ (at a level larger than a ganglion) so weβd have no comparison to judge such an option
In Star Trek, Betazoids/Betazeds have an extra brain lobe for Telepathic abilities. Could be a nonlawk idea.
Yeah telepathy seems like itβd fit right in as a nonlawk for aware+ creatures and civs. I presume itβd consume more energy than regular brainwork?
How would telepathy even work biologically?
Kinda of depends on whose defining it. Take Cephalopods as the primary example. Some would say each Tentacle has its own Brain, totaling 9 with the one in itβs head, and some would call those Ganglions. Poe-tay-toe Poe-tah-toe I guess.
They still have one central brain that is individually larger than the nerves of a singular armβ¦
