If you get chloroplasts in to your cell in Microbe stage and than keep them in Multicellular+ stage, will you be able to produce small amounts of enegry/food with them?

I mean like an animal but with some of it’s parts doing photosynthesis.

Although, if we’re going for scientific accuracy, the energy chloroplasts produce will be limited as compared to the needs of a motile animal. Particularly if your animal is warm blooded or big brained.

the generating their own electrical current part of that article made me think about how one would make a protein that synthesizes atp with the energy source being electric current
