Currently, cell size seems to negatively affect population growth quite strongly. This makes sense, since they require more resources per cell. Any ecosystem can support less elephants than it can support antilope after all.
However, this makes it more difficult to see how successful our species is compared to others. A biomass per species graph would more easily let us see how dominant each species is. This could be something as simple as (cell size x population) to start with.
