This is way in the future but I’m curious about the overall objective of the game. As it is inspired by spore I was hoping the push to just become a sentient being wouldn’t be as forceful. Like what if I just wanted to become a little reptile pollinator?

I belive that they stated that they don’t want the latter stages to necessarily be a requirement. I belive that they went so far as to say you could design a plant (and presumably become the greatest tree species to have ever existed). So I would assume that you could also not evolve to the aware stage as a lizard or as anything you wanted to design.
