This was a long journey, I was a prey and then a fierce predator, pretty sure I drew all other species out by aggression for food.

Become an eukaryote, duh. Some have probably already emerged in other regions of your world.
i think i did that last year because i was really stubborn and wanted a certain build before switching to eukaryote, it was pretty fun! anyhow, good for you
Sadly this way doesn’t unlock the path to the further intended parts of the game… And it probably shouldn’t.
You could simply put in additional chemolithotrophic proteins or switch to a patch of surface where there is light and start photosynthesizing, providing yourself with more glucose, as well as using metabolosomes.
By the way, if you just keep on raiding patches you eventually WILL find yourself surrounded by patches where either there is no prey or it is immune to your atracks.
This was my starting patch, I expanded once but I went extinct and the other patch had too little/too much oxygen
