Identical species

dude i dont know if this is a bug and im also not sure how to get logs but for some reason when i entered microbe freebuild i saw 20 identical species

This is not a bug, species with the same organelle layout are very similar, especially at the smaller sizes. Other factors like membrane, behaviour or tolerance are what differenciates them

looked into it further and the organs aren’t being put onto it right

dude they’re all the exact same microbe and color, this doesnt happen in the normal saves ive created

Maybe this is something wrong with the freebuild then, since these do look rather anomalyous

why does it seem that freebuild spawns microbes with nucleuses too

Yeah I don’t think they would emerge this early. I have a feeling it somehow messes up autoevo

This is the log I think?

Freebuild initial setup does work a bit differently, but I do not remember seeing something like this before.

Unless it happens repeatedly, it would be difficult to fix.

Yeah. freebuild actually generates 2-3 life origins per patch and then runs mutation a few steps on all of the generated species. So the world is prefilled in a totally different manner than normal gameplay in freebuild.

Unless this is a common problem then I don’t see a need to do anything for this situation.
