Turn 18

Turn 18 Summary:

925 million years after the formation of the Phyade I system, the new form of life continues its journey of surviving on the Treerilia-Xanrillon binary system. Now reduced to back to a single species, the Hydrogena Species Clade has started to take over the niches of its former Panspermium Species Clade predecessors. The Pansperium Genera Clade of life (or Thrivium Class Clade if continuing from Phase I Thrivium Family Clade) is now located in two biomes, the Unovaskysian Epipelagic and Rikystasean Costal. No high Ph and Salt Shock (0.229) will affect the Hydrogen lovers, but the Treerilia-Xanrillon-miniXoruta planetary system continues to change, including strange things percolating from half of the submoon Xoruta that impacted the planet prior.

While vertical Drip Tectonics remains the driving force of tectonic activity on Treerilia, the lower Ultramafic crust has begun to cool ever so slightly to allow some primordial horizontal crust movement in the form of Putty Tectonics beneath the oceans. Unlike the regular Plate Tectonics most sapient organisms are familiar with, these nascent Komatiite plates move so fast that they constantly crumble and slip fast each other in multiple layers, stacking on top of each other like a tipped over angled piece of cake. This is for two reasons. Despite being made of strong and dense Aluminum-depleted Komatiite (ADK), the ADK plates relatively warm temperature makes them more malleable, like putty. Also, the ADK oceanic plates are thinner due to collecting less mantle material as a result of being so β€œwarm”.

Unovaskysian Epipelagic

Revivalis strawberry (Mutant 70) was still existing, but it had no attachment to life. This apathetic Ichigo went 210 degrees (3.666 radians) West by Southwest. It encountered a large clouds of Phosphate from dissolved lingering chunks of the previous Phosphate Meteors. The tiny organism also encountered a large group Difons Blackberry (Ecotype 115), which attempted to chase its smaller cousin. After being chased away from that Phosphate cloud, Revivalis strawberry (Mutant 70) found another Phosphate cloud and stayed there, chilling. It seems the Duel of Berries continues, as another group of Difons Blackberry came by and took the rest of the Phosphate. How rude. Now running out of Glucose, it attempted to continue the revival of the strawberries by looking for either Glucose or Ammonia. After entering a resource dead zone and starting to run out of Glucose, it seems its microbial cries for help were answered by a sudden giant cloud of Ammonia. With literally zero Glucose left, the organism divided.

Revivalis iterum (Ecotype 114) was very aggressive, having mutated 375 Aggression Behavior. If there was one way to describe this tiny, but mighty, organism, it would be β€œNo matter how many times you hit it, it just comes back.” This iteration headed 280 degrees (4.887 radians) South by Southwest, avoiding a couple of Difons Blackberry (Ecotype 115) that attempted to chase it. Resting in a small Glucose cloud and seeing the mini-Xoruta submoon, the aggressive organism then had company with members of the fellow ecotype, forcing the organism to move somewhere else. Similar to its ancestor, Revivalis strawberry (Mutant 70), this iterative revivalist ran out of Glucose and had 38 out of 96 health (due to -4% from Oxygen intolerance) left when it managed to divide.

Difons Blackberry (Ecotype 115) was not the only organism in the Ichigo lineage, but also in the Panspermium Genera Clade to currently have a Rusticyanin. If there was one way to describe this organism, it would self-described as β€œIt can eat iron men like nothing.” Unfortunately for the Iron loving organism, there was no Iron in the Unovaskysian Epipelagic. Fortunately, the Hydrogenase makes enough ATP to make up for it. Heading 147 degrees (2.566 radians) Northwest by North, Difons Blackberry could not find any resources. It did encounter some Revivalis strawberry (Mutant 70), but they could not be engulfed due to being deemed too similar. Eventually, a large cloud of Phosphate was found, but the organism had already run out of Glucose. aah31415 went extinct due to insufficient Glucose as a Blackberry organism.

Rikystasean Coastal

Chi cysteine (Ecotype 116) of the Chi lineage had lost its Cytoplasm, but retained the Hydrogenase and Chemosynthesizing proteins. Heading 11 degrees East by Northeast, it encountered a strong current, veering it off course and accidentally into a poison cloud. The sulfur-amino acid loving organism was searching for Selenium, which is used to make Selenocysteine, an important amino acid for making proteins in Hydrogenase. Chi cysteine sprinted its way through another strong current that was perpendicular to its intended direction, pushing the organism downsteam Northwest. It nearly became squared out of existence under the Xanrillon moonshine. Fortunately, the organism was pushed, along with an Iron cloud, into a cloud of Phosphate and Glucose. Despite there being Hydrogen Sulfide, Chi cysteine did not encounter any on its journey.

Chi cross (Ecotype 117) looked exactly the same as its ancestor, Revivalis chi (Mutant 72), except it had a different Organelle Turn Reproduction Order. The Hydrogenase was the first to reproduce, which gives a slightly higher boost in ATP earlier in life. Like Chi cysteine (Ecotype 116), it headed East by Northeast, but 18 degrees (0.315 radians) instead of 11 degrees (0.190 radians). The slightly less sharp angle meant the crisscrossed organism encountered a cloud of Glucose much earlier in its life. Current events caught up to the delta-shaped organism, forcing Chi cross to turn itself in a direction to allow less force upon on it from the water. This turned out to be serendipity, as the current dumped the organism in a large cloud of Ammonia, Phosphate and Glucose. No Hydrogen Sulfide was encountered in this excursion, either.

Chi omega (Ecotype 118) was the self-described β€œlong bacterium” of the Chi lineage. It had evolved an extra Hydrogenase, giving this organism even more ATP, at the cost of greater Glucose consumption and a brick shape with less speed. It seems the entire Chi lineage headed in the East by Northeast direction, with the last organism heading 30 degrees (0.466 radians). And its larger size became a detriment to crossing currents. Once it gets taken away, it had a hard time moving against a current. This happened once, encountering part of the same Glucose cloud as Chi cross (Ecotype 117), and again much later in its life. While it encountered a lot of Ammonia, and especially Phosphate, Chi omega (Ecotype 118) could not find any Hydrogen Sulfide. Frantically looking for Glucose, the organism was again swept away by another current, having completely run out of Glucose. The pain of losing health lingered for some time, but the Omega did not become the Alpha and avoided death, dividing with 24 out of 100 health remaining.

…The forces initiating the new phase of Putty Tectonics has led to separate Granitic Eruptions in the Rikystasean Coastal, Nobelmebanian Epipelagic, Banana Biome, Cablevenian Estuary, and Cablevenian Tidepool, causing CatSquared to be become extinct by being seared to death.

…A metallic Meteor comes within the Gravity Well of the Treerilia-Xanrillon-miniXoruta system. While its orbit becomes bent, voting from the Players has given the inhabited biomes temporary immunity to meteor impacts. The meteor merely passes by the planetary system.

Notes:

Note 1 – I thought everyone would survive this round. There goes that hope.

Note 2 – Since aah31415 and CatSquared went extinct this round, they can either choose among the Options generated from Chi cross (Ecotype 117), or wait until everyone else has chosen their respective organisms first in order to get a larger organism selection pool.

Note 3 – I will attempt to finish the Options for Turn 18 sometime later this week.
