Can a biome like underwater cave be destroyed by an asteroid impact?

If this was real life, then an Asteroid should be able to hit it. So it is possible in this FG.

I think everyone but doomlightning has chosen their organisms. After that, JustaDumbThrive can finally choose an organism.

What would happen if there were to be so few species remaining that not all players with their lineages gone could choose a species?

It depends on the number of organisms remaining. If there are at least five organisms overall, regardless of lineages, then everyone can choose an organism. If it is only one or two linages between the organisms, then multiple people can choose from the same lineages. But if it is less than five, then like in the beginning of the FG, I would allow multiple people to choose the same organism.
