Ecotype 127 has Rusticyanin, and has a balanced/positive (I can’t remember) ATP without Iron.

Can it survive on iron though?

Solely on Iron? No. It has more Glucose and ATP-from light than ATP from Iron production. It is basically a mixotroph, like the Neo and airemelpara species.

Hm. I suppose it might not be the easiest to evolve viable mixotrophs with just random evo.

So far in the FG, mixotrophs are viable, unless they become too large, or die from predation.

I have a feeling becoming large is kind of a trap for prokaryotes at least

Yeah, but on the other hand, it is the only way to get more ATP and eventually get a nucleus.

We did get a nucleus species in the first phase of this FG, even if it failed to pass all the checks, did we?

Two species mutated Nucleus in Phase I at separate times.
830 and 929.

I suppose in sometime we could see another one of these appearing in this phase… Though it’s survival might not be so certain.

Since it’s slowly approaching, AA, do you plan to do anything for the FG’s first anniversary?

I have not thought about that yet. I have events planned out for when (if) we reach certain major clade levels, April Fool’s, and/or change game versions.
