Turn 5
Turn 5 Summary:
25 million years later, life has begun to diversify once again. In the Cablevenian Tidepool, there were several organisms that contained Thylakoids. Thrivium phytus (Mutant 6), Phytus upsidownus (Ecotype 28), and Thrivum Lux (Ecotype 29) all had Thylakoids.
Phytus upsidownus (Ecotype 28) had an opposite organelle reproduction order compared to its fellow Phytus lineage members. This turned out to be a good thing, as it had a slightly higher rate of Photosynthesis, due to the Thylakoids reproducing before the Cytosol. This helped when it accidentally ran into several swarms of its fellow cells, and was blocked and pushed into a poison cloud.
Thrivum Lux (Ecotype 29) had a higher focused behavior than the rest of the Phytus lineage. This meant it moved more to find clouds of resources at night, and nearly came to death, being 5/60 health. Fortunately, it was able to survive at the end.
Fostrogonpo chrysos (Subspecies 27) was the only organism in the Cablevenian Tidepool to have Proteorhodopsin and a Chemoreceptor for Glucose. These two organelles made it the most complex organism in the Cablevenian Tidepool. However, like its fellow Chrysos lineage members, its larger size meant it had slower speed to gather resources. Additionally, the increased competition by the Phytus lineage meant it could not gather as many Glucose clouds, and nearly died several times.
Once again, the Banana Biome’s beauty conceals its mysteries. gamblerokoinos neomesonea (Ecotype 22) again encountered the unfixable lag damage bug, but the situation appeared to resolve itself. Until it started happening again later on.
gambleroneomesonea aggro (Subspecies 28), as its name suggest, is a very aggressive subspecies in the gambleroneomesonea line. This aggressive nature made it compete more with the organisms in the Banana Biome, and it came dangerously close to dying. It did not help that the unfixable lag damage bug started appearing at the worst possible times.
The final member of gambleroneomesonea lineage was gamblerokoinos neona (Subspecies 29). It was the first organism to evolve Melanokoids, or the ability to get ATP from UV radiation. Surprisingly, it did not encounter the unfixable lag damage bug. However, it did encounter a dead zone of resources, which when combined with it larger size, took several days longer to find the resources it needed to divide. Another peculiarity is that gamblerokoinos neona was banana shaped. Is this what will happen to organisms who survive in the strange Banana Biome?
Like it cousin, Thrivium Florus (Ecotype 30) of the Phytus lineage also did not encounter the unfixable lag bug. Perhaps their storage capacity was large enough to prevent the bug from occurring. Thrivium Florus had two Thylakoids, which means its possible survival will enrich the Banana Biome with Oxygen in the future to come. It also was not Banana shaped, but its odd angle made slightly slower than gamblerokoinos neona.
Things were a bit bumpy in the Cablevenian Estuary. Like the Banana Biome, this Estuary had 832 kPa less pressure. This translated to 10% higher Osmoregulation cost, 10% slower bioprocess speed, and -35.1% health for all organisms attempting to live within it.
Chrysos cyanoa (Species 4) nearly died from an initial lack of glucose, but after that, it had to deal with the unfixable lag damage bug. While this glitch did not kill the organism, its lower naturally higher osmoregulation cost meant it occurred far more often than an organism without a Chemoreceptor. Perhaps Chrysos cyanoa was blue in more ways than one.
Chrysos Macro (Species 5) was the first organism in the new world to evolve Hydrogenase. This meant it did not encounter the unfixable lag damage bug. However, it almost died in the beginning due to a lack of Glucose, surviving with 2/38 health before enough of Phyade I’s rays energized from near oblivion. This was one of the drawbacks of having a larger size. Another drawback was taking longer to gather all the nutrients necessary for cell division, and being slower while doing so.
Garlabio Upsilon (Subspecies 2), still having its Toxin, gave some damage to itself while the organelle was filling up. Even worse, it encountered the unfixable lag damage bug, but the glitch did not cause its death. Garlabio Upsilon lost some of its health when searching for Ammonia and Phosphate, but it survived having 26/38 health to cell division.
Within the Cablevenian Underwater cave, Chrysos conversia (Species 2) was not having a good time. The Pressure and Temperature was the same as outside surface, so the issue was not a slowdown of biological process, or loss of health, due to environmental tolerances. The issue was a lack of ATP from the absence of photons powering Proteorhodopsin. Coupled with the extra osmoregulation cost from having a Chemoreceptor, Chrysos conversia lost health even when if did not move and died. Chrysos conversia became another species lost to time due to a lack of ATP.
…But then, a Meteor streak across the sky from the Southwest. It comes closer and closer to Treerilia. Despite being turned into a Banana-shaped Meteor by the Banana Biome, which then breaks into several Banana-shaped pieces, these Banana pieces pelt the Banana Biome and eradicate all life located there. JustaDumbThriver and aah31415 have become extinct due to Banana Meteorites.
