Yes. Since I simplified how the populations will change through time, I just add or subtract more population when engulfing criteria are met within a species. Should a member of a species decide to engage in it, and the species has a larger preference for it.

Only the cells about to split should be able to engulf the younger ones through…

Yes, but this also assumes the species will have a preference for it. For instance, if you species has a 0 for Cannibalism, then it won’t cannibalize a member of its own species when it is larger, but it will still engage in trying to engulf other species if it can.

Never heard of such a requirement, althrough I guess the GMs tend to set their sights around that number of players for the beginning…

I’m probably going to join, but I’m still trying to figure out the rules. I think it’s basically thrive, but text based and you switch species each round, but I’m not sure.
