All of the names I make are me making up random words. I had no idea that dexus meant anything.
New species: tüskésfej ánuszfarok
Old species: tüskésfej
Changes: ánuszfarok has evolved a singular anus tail for agility
New species: páncélozott levegő
Old species: páncélozott
Changes: levegő has evolved a primitive heart and primitive lungs and also more armor and also in size (9cm)
Behavior changes: levegő has started hunting organisms on land
I am not a biologist, but isn’t evolving both a heart and lungs and growing from 4mm to 19cm a bit to much for one evolution?
That’s a little too big, thunder. I’m allowing rapid evolution for this round, but after this I am definitely going to impose a limit. Also, there’s another thing for Oofer. Oofer, on which continent did the Dexus evolve? Cause the populations of teris are separated now.
Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Goterea then.
Its actually 5cm .
And yes the lungs and heart are hard to under stand but they are very primitive
Still, 19 cm is a huge boost in size. And the páncélozott came from the chaneilinbheach, which was mostly herbivorous, feeding on the algae and the iomubae “plants” at the bottom of the ocean. Why would they change their diet now? Please change the size to somewhere around 8-9 cm.
When did I say its herbivorous? As far as I remember it ate corpses of arruptiors
I don’t think it’s diet was ever specified
I just went all the way back up to when you made chaneilinbeach and you never said it changed to eating meat
Alright, diet is fine then, my b
I just assumed it was herbivorous because the ophipod larvae are herbivorous, and since the ophipods descend from the excogitatoris, which come from the acceleratio, and since the chaneilinbheach are just larger acceleratio larvae, I thought they would eat the iomubae plants. All’s fine there, just bring the size down, preferably to high single digits.
Really? M8TY m8 m8 might mate
Alright, point proven.
However, the size change still stands.
Also, Burgeon, do the larvae gain these changes as well, or do they keep their aquatic forms? I’m going to assume that they are carried in the womb of the pulmocaudi and live there until adulthood, at which point they spill out unless specified otherwise.
The larvae of pulmocaudi leave the womb in roughly the same form as the adults, being air-breathing and having many limbs.
Alright! So, since O. Plumomorphus is on Smahoufenova, Thuneera, and Gotorea (nothing on Burgeblasea
), where do you want the O. Pulmocaudi to have evolved from?
Thuneera makes the most sense, as ‘they abound on Thuneera’
So the Sehakisus are on land? The Commus lived fully under water
Oh dear, that’s not what I meant, thanks for letting me know! The Sehakisus are water based, and although they technically do have the ability to move onto land, none have. They just live near Thuneera and Smahoufenova, in the shallows.
Evolution has occured, but, more interestingly, two lines of organisms have forsaken their aquatic origins for the land! The Teris, and it’s descendants, and the newly developed Ophipoda Pulmocaudi. However, others are following close behind. The Respa have begun mobbing the less developed O. Plumomorphus, and unwary Pulmocaudi can be devoured by A. Ovenjulet, an evolution of the Harena. Interestingly enough, the infanticide of the Pulmocaudi has decreased, over the years, although it has never truly gone away. This has reduced evolutionary pressure, and now natural selection is favoring the Pulmocaudi that can eat away more efficiently at the Teris and Amphabis (a species that is almost extinct now). The Respa is near Goteara, and the Ovenjulet rests near the shores of Smahoufenova and Burgeblasea, although the Smahoufenova population is decreasing. The Páncélozott Levegő, a much larger evolution of it’s predecessor, has begun to snack on any unwary prey near the coastline. However, there aren’t too many above the surface, and so they don’t really have a need to go up there that much. Also, the times they get on land, their mineralized skin hampers them when trying to catch prey that is lighter and quicker. On Goteara, the Teris Dexus has evolved a long root that reaches underwater. This has caused them to spread most efficiently, and they now dominate the Hortebeaches of Goteara. Some are moving closer inland, but none have gone too far from the beaches. The Sovis has almost reintegrated the Sehakisus into the colonies, similar to a soldier of the species. Since they are very similar, the queen and the Sehakisus have the ability to breed, which produces lively hybrids which are also fertile. As the plants grow farther in on land, however, a problem develops. How will the plants reproduce? Before, they would let their gametes be taken by the tide, mixed with other sex cells, and those would develop into new Teris. Now, however, there is no water for this to occur.
Pretty tired today, but I may make a hand-drawn picture later! I love these changes, they are very creative. As said before, we will vote soon whether we want to focus completely on land and sea. This poll will probably be posted here. Also, for reference, here are the terrestrial biomes to date.
Land Based Biomes
Smahoufenovan/Thuneeran/Burgeblasean Hortebeaches: The beaches of Kakhitt were once devoid of life. This is not the case anymore. Primitive plants now create a line between the water and the land, taking in sunlight and absorbing water as well. The food web is located here (note, only fully terrestrial creatures are on the Food Web):

Gotearan Hortebeaches: The beaches of Goteara were once devoid of life. This is not the case anymore. Primitive plants (although less so than the other continents) now create a line between the water and the land, taking in sunlight and absorbing water as well. The food web is located here:
Thuneeran Hortebeaches: The beaches of Thuneera were once devoid of life. This is not the case anymore. Primitive plants now create a line between the water and the land, taking in sunlight and absorbing water as well. A early terrestrial animal has also been found on these beaches, the Pulmocaudi. This animal thrives in an environment where the only competition (apart from an Arruptior grabbing an unwary Pulmo) is each other. The food web is located here:
Gotearan/Smahoufenovan/Thuneeran/Burgeblasean Barrens: These lands are filled with nothing but sand, dust and rocks, although there are some pretty cool mountain formations here. On the Burgeblasean Barrens, there is a large volcano that is inland. Currently, it is dormant, although it may explode someday. There are no food webs for these, as there are no animals here. Please tell me if you cannot access these food webs.
