Everything is fine, let’s try to keep it that way
Vote: Research tool-making. Use strong and/or sharp rocks as impact, branches as a place to hold the instrument and lace it together with vegetal fibers.

Well, at least I have protection.
But some tools are an order.

Vote: Develop a tool consisting of a stone wedge for splitting things attached to a wooden shaft to increase leverage. These tools will be for harvesting lumber or as a weapon if need be.(in laymans terms, an axe).

Round 4

See

Vote: X

Outcome: The See have faded from the specific attention of the mysterious forces guiding civilization. Perhaps a new force will take up their reins, or perhaps not.

Yirha (@aviscerator)

Vote: Domesticate nearby plants (10)

Outcome

Your would-be growers have managed to start cultivating small patches of the plants with the edible leaves, though they are quite small and are unable to be tended regularly due to the nomadic nature of your band. However, they do provide some small supplement to your band’s diet on a somewhat consistent basis, leading to a small population boom in your band. Some suggest that if the band could actually stay in one place, then it’d be much easier to tend to the plants, though some are wary of settling so close to such dangerous creatures as the ones you have encountered.

Malphas (@blackink)

Vote: Research tool-making (1)

Outcome

The attempts at creating more refined tools are an utter failure. The vegetal fibers your people have created, despite their strength in the form of sandals and baskets, are not well-suited for being used as tool bindings it would seem. Maybe if they were further refined, or a more precise form of binding created in their stead, it would have worked. Alas, your people have to go without a large amount of these fibers for a time, resulting in less foot protection and less baskets to go around. The latter affects your gatherers’ ability to provide food tremendously, resulting in less food to go around and a resulting drop in population as some go hungry in the cold season and more. Many are angry over these preventable losses, more so those who felt this loss directly. So much so that morale has dropped significantly overall.

Novak (@Louix)

Vote: Gather the most loyal and migrate northeast (16)

Outcome

Your wisest gather their most loyal followers to them, and lead the band to the northeast. While not all chose to follow, those who decide to stay dispersing into other bands in the home valley, a fair number still choose to remain as Novak. More than your band was some time ago, anyway. The trek to the northeast, while not the easiest, is better than staying. There are some run-ins with armored beasts guarding fields of tubers and aggressive equine alpha males, not to mention climbing predatory birds that feed on the former. However, your band is able to gather edible purple fruits with bristly skin, as well as some small amounts of edible leaves from a stout, succulent-like plant. With your hunters scavenging what small rodents (with an eye on the front and back of their heads) they can find, as well as hunting the smaller equine herds, your band has found a new life in their new range. And a new energy as now things seem to be getting better, even if only a little.

Atorii (@oncpapa)

Vote: Develop woodcutting axes (14)

Outcome

Your crafters have managed to create a simplistic form of woodcutting axe. However, with no way to solidly bind the stone head in place, these axes must be maintained constantly. Your band’s ability to clear out trees has been improved significantly with this invention, despite their drawbacks. Your range is now more clearly cut, with large trees having been cleared out of the way, and clearings more adequately cleared for taking shelter in. This increased ability to manipulate their environment as well as clear out shelter for themselves has improved your people’s morale slightly, though some question the need for such an ability when most of your people take shelter in said trees.

Yslach (@lordclassyus)

Vote: Try farming the reeds (13)

Outcome

Your growers have managed to start cultivating small patches of the edible reeds, though this is relegated mostly to the shores of the lake, as the reeds seem to do best there, and when there are wild patches competing with your own crops, this leaves less space for your growers to cultivate in. They also have to try and keep the woolly sloths away from their patches, given that the creatures seem to enjoy eating the plants just as much as your people do. However, these patches manage to be a supplement to your people’s diet in enough quantity to result in a small population boom in your band. Morale has gone up slightly as a result.

Ssuiis (@agenttine)

Vote: Attempt to peacefully integrate the Novak to try and reclaim lost people (16)

Outcome

Your envoys, while they miss the main body of the Novak, have managed to coax some former members of your band back into the fold. The others were uninterested and have dispersed into some of the other bands residing in the home valley. While the number regained was small, it is nevertheless an important reclamation of those lost to you before. While there is still some small level of distrust, after all these people had abandoned the band before, overall morale has gone up somewhat with this success.

Alitize (@soundwave)

Vote: Find large carnivorous animal to tame (15)

Outcome

While the Maklao have proven to be an unattainable goal as far as taming goes, surely there are other large predators about that could possibly be more accepting of your people’s efforts. Your scouts have discovered signs of another large predator roaming back south, in the hinterlands of the mountains that surrounded your old home. While these signs consist only of large upturned piles of dirt and some concealed underground den entrances, your scouts have not managed to catch a direct sight of what these animals look like. After the failure with the Maklao, not many are enthusiastic about trying to control another large predator once again. Some even regard it with a small amount of dread.

Extra: Your village has been raided! Without much attempt at secrecy, raiders from a band you later learn is called the Avoch have raided your village and made off with a small amount of supplies. Given the nature of your stationary position and reliance on hunting and gathering, even this small amount stolen is cause for much alarm and consternation. Your people are starting to regard any signs of foreign band activity with hostility and apprehension at this attack on your people.

Krangei (@Svrangite)

Vote: Keep trying to tame the Stotempi (1)

Outcome

Your handlers continue to try and tame the Stotempi. However, one makes the mistake of getting between an alpha male and his herd, and all hell breaks loose. The alpha male goes into a frenzy, working the herd into a stampede that completely tramples your handlers, removing any progress you had made with the equines in the process, and the resulting stampede even causes damage to your band’s supplies. This deals a great blow to morale, and causes your people to start becoming suspicious and even fearful of the Stotempi. Some even say that messing with the temperamental animals was always a bad idea, and many start to agree with them.

Sasquatchitaw (@JSpinoraptor)

Vote: Attempt to develop tools and materials for woodworking (16)

Outcome

With some effort on the part of your crafters, your people have crafted a special type of woodworking tool called the adze. This allows your crafters to better shape their pieces of wood before moving to using handheld sharpened stones for finer whittling. This has lessened your crafters’ workload somewhat, making them more efficient. This increases your crafters’ efficiency in creating handles for tools, though its benefits are limited due to it only increasing the speed of one part of the toolmaking process. However, this does improve the morale of your crafters, and your people respect the creation of a new tool.

Seeing as serialkiller has decided to leave the game. @PositiveTower you are next in line to take over a civilization. Please choose who you would like to split off of, or choose an already existing non-player civ to take control of.

Well, seems like tools are a no go for now. Let’s try a different approach.
Vote: Unite fibers to create rope, we can use it to make traps and move objects (and a replacement for fibers in tool-making).

I don’t really have much ways as a nomadic band to regain morale, so I’m going to just start my journey on the way to a civilization!

You’re going to have to get @JSpinoraptor’s permission to split off from his band with his stability that high. You can split off of anyone with 0 or lower stability automatically.

Thanks for the round.
