Except I think the creature should have to protect/hide their eggs, or survive being pregnant. So while skipping the sex scene with a black screen and/or sky view makes sense, it would need to return to the game and not go straight to the editor to do that.

This would be cool! after the sex scene / or skipping the player would play as the female and would have to survive like 1 minute while being pregnant from various threats or having to protect the egg from predators

Okay, it turns out the flowers will also be censored, since from the gameβs point of view, they are essentially genitals.

bro. flowers?? FLOWERS?? Dawg we are talking about ANIMAL genitals not plants! plants are okay and are not considered as genitals morally, i think it would need to only censor the animals genitals, not flowers. they are alright in games

I already said this but they wonβt implement it in the base game anyway, too much effort is required for animations that players will most likely skip 95% of the time.

It may be a question of how does the game decide which is which. I am thinking motility. If it is sessile, it is probably either flora, funga, or something that sews sperm and eggs into water and hopes they meet each other, which does not involve mating, and if it is motile, it is probably fauna.

Maybe if an organism had a prior ancestor that counted as a motile animal, it would also count as one for censoring purposes?

That would certainly help. Might still be possible to evolve a few things that would be better censored but donβt meet the criteria, but they would likely be alien enough to probably not trigger rating problems.

And I feel like any sort of more controversial structures evolving from the primordially sessile clades could be passed off or be just too unlikely to result in censor-worthy evolutions

I suggest addid more types of genitals, like the normal animal genitals, then the plant ones, then other types, so you could have a animal with plant genitals with more customisability

Probably for the best, since it will help give Thrive a better rating to appeal to a larger target audience.
