add more flagella and repeat if that doesn’t work then try checking your membranes or make sure your spikes are close to the outside of the cell

they are in fact close to the outside of the cell.
it was auto fixed after an editor cycle
It looks like the pilus physics shapes are missing for some reason. And the fact that it worked later, I’d say that this is some rare bug that for some reason the physics shapes don’t properly attach to the colony.

looks like sometimes when attaching to a colony the pilus shape is missing entirely. This is either a physics engine bug in Godot or a rare edge case in our code.
