And also the clouds, and then the clouds could appear at different levels, and then you add height control to the cells, now that I think about it, 3d cell stage wouldn’t even be super hard (at least compared to having a full 3d editor).

It would certainly be harder if you were playing as an amoeba (or any other microbe with pseudopodes).
