This thread is for dialogue from the MOTHER series. For example, in Mother 3, a cop says:

“Don’t look at me that way, it makes me want to arrest you.”

Are you sure anyone else in this community has played MOTHER recently AND remembers the dialogue lines from it?

May be only me… But Earthbound is known as MOTHER 2 in Japan AND is the second game in the series, and on top of that, appeared in smash. So there is at least a 0.2% chance of there being two MOTHER fans and me not being the only one!

By the way, how long ago have you played MOTHER 3 that you remember that dialogue line?

I played it quite recently, actually! But I have not got to the ending yet. I got spoiled, but hey, I only got spoiled fro like 20% of the game!

How long does it take to beat the game?

I don’t know, actually. As I said, I have not completed it. I’ve heard Earthbound takes a good 30 hours to complete, though…

Yes. A lot of fights. There’s this Belch fight where you need this thing called “fly honey” to beat it.

And otherwise one gets softlocked?

No. You just die. And now you have to fight belch again and try to find his weakness to kill him omg so fun yay!!!

To my knowledge that is only for Belch… But in M1 there is CGF’s diary which reads something super cyptic, and you won’t know what it’s for until you reach Magicant.

I used to be an Undertale fan. Then MatPat’s Sans is Ness video, it was nonsensical but it got me interested in the series because apparently it was the inspiration for Undertale.
