Multicellular stage won't work (sometimes)

I don’t understand why, but sometimes the multicellular stage doesn’t function properly. I can’t edit or place anything in the editor then. It’s strange because this only happens occasionally.

There’s been multiple people who have reported this issue specifically in the multicellular, but none have provided logs.

I suspect this is the same problem as:

But without game logs from when the error happened I won’t be able to know for sure.
