This sounds like walking in a city from the point of view of a being that sees technology as synonymous with biology. 0:08 is like you are in a post apocalyptic city trying to fix (a gadget nobody knows how to produce anymore) by removing parts from semi functioning other gadgets. In 0:44 the background noise changes from waves in a beach in an industrial neighborhood to the sounds of a mysterious city that attracts and welcomes you. 0:56 is when you enter the city. In 1:20 the guitar sounds like either (1) a previously unknown fact started to be revealed as someone or the message they left is narrated (2) a progression is happening, such as you are building a new town in the wild or (3) you finally give up and accept the new reality or the end of the world or the death of old characters. If this was a show this would be the part where the camera would have cut scenes showing the environment, how the critters move over emotionally significant things and images lie behind broken picture frames. In 1:32 the feeling switches from sorrow to monotone. It is like as if a concrete hits you. In 1:38 the concrete apologizes and starts hitting slower. 1:44 is the part that I initially clicked and it sounds like being in nature but the trumpet(?) is futuristic. The concrete is minding its own business in the city. The trumpet speaks for everybody. In 2:32 everything ends, the night is over and the sun overtakes the city lights. You are back where you started. In 2:56, the gadget you were trying to fix shows some signs of life. Life brings you a small momentary happiness that nevertheless doesn’t mask the weight of the past that you still feel.
