i gave up on AoT after like 4 episodes but i have to admit… the rumbling goes hard. I feel similarly but moreso about vinland saga. I haven’t “given up” but i dont really feel like finishing the second season.

OP1 is so cool istg, it builds up so organicly from a normal shonen opening to passionate seinen opening to a insanely good multi-genre metal single to whatever the hell the ending scream is and it works so well with the show and thorfinns arc. ending 1 is fine it’s a good ending song, nice and mellow, but idrc.

OP2 is less incredible but it fits, now that the show has built stuff up and proven deathcore screams are allowed in the opening it doesnt need to take things slowly and ramp up to metal, and so it doesnt, it gets to the point, conveys a lot, etc. good stuff, matches askeladd a lot closer, which is interesting. Ending 2 gets you used to english lyrics in a more pop or chill beat, and it emotionally fits in quite well, great closer.

the season 2 opener is impeccable, i can’t speak on it as well bc… idont care and havent finished the second season, but it earns the all english no metal opener (which i was initially skeptical on). ending for season 2 is good, but just good, its sad/somber and fits how goddam depressing this show is.

honestly now that i’ve realized the opening and closing songs from tv are on the table i might actually post in this thread lol
