Hey! I’ve been a long time thrive fan and have been loving playing the game and seeing how it’s evolved. I was a big fan of spore and when I saw this game I was so excited to get into something more complex. I was just playing and found a fun little bug in the multicellular that gave me a cool idea for the game and just wanted to drop in and see where I could suggest it.
Welcome to the forum @VGSpyder !
Multicellular, as a prototype stage, is sure prentiful in many bugs, of which most have been documented, so it is likely the case that the bug you encountered is one of the knows ones. For the suggestion based off of the bug, I suppose it would fit in the Future Game > Multicellular Stage category.
Welcome to the forum, @VGSpyder! Could you please describe the conditions that caused the bug, such as what were difficulty settings, the biome where the bug was discovered, the game output log, e.t.c.?
It was just an iron chunk getting stuck in my cell. I described it a little bit more as well as provided a picture in my suggestion topic Chunk usage. If you need more info let me know.
I wonder if this is a bug, or unintended feature, like how the unfixable lag damage bug via low fps indirectly gives ATP storage selection.
I would like to think it’s a unintended feature since it’s really nice for getting resources as well as attracting other cells to eat
Speaking of, if you have used these chunks as bait, did the ironeaters decline/go extinct in the played patch?
I actually haven’t used them that way yet it was just an idea but I could go test it out and let ya know
Expect them to fare rather miserably in the concurring editor session…
Welcome to the Forum, VGSpyder.
I wonder what the “VG” stands for…
Hello! I enjoy playing Thrive.
Welcome to the forum @OceanPlanet ! I suppose it’s unusual to see an old introduction thread being reused by a new user, but nevertheless to my knowledge it’s a welcomed action.
We hope you will have a great time here like you had in the game!
I have some ideas for the future of Thrive.
You can share them in a thread with categories relating to these ideas.
Welcome to the forum, @OceanPlanet! We hope you have a good experience, and look forward to seeing your contributions to the community!
By the way, OceanPlanet, is your favorite species an in-game species?
My favourite in-game species is Ferooptimus generalis. It was a species when I recently played Thrive.
Could you perhaps tell us more about this critter?
This species is my own species during a part of playing Thrive. It eats Iron for it’s energy, as for more, I don’t know.
