Tutorial rework is complete. And I’ve sworn to not touch it again as it took like 2 weeks of development time from me and is the reason this 0.8.2 release will have so few new features. So I’m absolutely not considering doing any tutorial changes again. If anyone wants to make tutorial changes they need to themselves do everything and get playtesting etc. done.
That kind of job is of a community manager and I’m really unsure when we would get a community manager, because the second employee if we ever can afford that is likely to be another programmer to prioritise increased game development speed.

That’s why I said “more devteam members”, not “next devteam member”.
You can do it easier by replacing the big and incomprehensible messages that pop up when you can’t perform a full cycle of photosynthesis with “You don’t have enough storage to survive the night! storage icon add cytoplasm or vacuoles!” and “You’re not producing enough glucose! sun icon add thylakoids or chloroplasts to survive the night!”

Hhyyrylainen already said they aren’t tackling tutorials again.
This sounds like a tutorial because there are other ways to get glucose than photosynthesis, so if the primary display in the GUI was replaced with this advice, it would be totally incorrect some of the time.
And that’s the case with tutorials.

I noticed that meteor impacts don’t seem to have an effect on lux value in the affected patches. Maybe they should decrease it somewhat to symbolize the effect of an impact winter?
