Planet genesis

M1: The proto-feathers on the wings evolve into forms even more similar to regular feathers, increasing the surface area of the wings and control whilst airborne.
M2: Intelligence increases further, with members of the species sharing the location of fallen corpses with other two-headed ompards on a regular basis.

M1: bladder turns into a network of tubes feeding aminoplasts with ammonia, and taking the water back into the blood after it’s been cleaned(minor food, and drought resistance)

M2: endosymbiosis a microbe that uses bioluminescence for communicationand have it specialize into eyespot plastids and lumenoplasts (will be very relevant to intelligence and intraspecies communication later)

I wonder where will that spaceship crash…

Mutation uno: Leathery feet added onto the already broad feet which allows them to walk on hotsand

Mutation dos: The coat surronding the throat spread to the top of the body to reflect light away from them and retain heat during the night.

I wonder if humans will do anything about the drought, as it’d be quite embarrassing to lose a biota they had been waiting for it to achieve a good level of development for a few hundred years now…

Maybe they’re testing the creatures ability to survive and adapt to a changing world

Yeah, but it’t not like this will be happening when humans move in to our lands…

Well, agriculture requires a lot of water, and so do humans, especially those rich enough to live on a planet.

Well it is in their interest to keep atleast a few species around…

Also, Fun Fact:
The Steel Wall was not supposed to be a mystery at this stage. It was supposed to be completely explained Round 6, and hinted at Round 2, but no one has noticed. I have no idea why.

Um, we have noticed it’s existence? And we know it’s probably not worth it to send a populace to lands behind the wall since they’d most likely be shot down very quickly.

I meant it’s purpose, not it’s existence.

Isn’t it obvious? It’s purpose is to keep creatures out of some area where they aren’t meant to be.

I won’t say the purpose, but It isn’t to stop the movement of creatures between areas.

Will we learn the remaining things about it at like round 10 or so? As technically we’re past the time we were supposed to learn about it per what you said.

I just realized my organism will look like a small weird plesiosaur when humans see it rivers and lakes.

And it has some horns too I guess. It’s even named after them still.

Round 9

@Cha @willow @aah31415 @AnthropocenianAge

The world

96% Complete…

The Drought

Over time, the Drought only got worse. Many Creatures died, unable to find food or water. There was no hope…

Lake A Becomes Dried-up Lakebed A

False Salamander: No extra food from eggs/endosymbiosis in temperate patches.

All creatures: -5 Sustainable population (increases each round)

The Fungus
The Fungus has now been partially reduced, now almost eradicated.

The Fungus lowers your sustainable population depending on it’s health (9-7 is 3, 6-4 is 2, 3-1 is 1, 0 is 0)

Immune systems reduce The Fungus’s health, and reduces it’s damage to you by 1.

All creatures: -1 sustainable population.

I advise trying to reach Tier 1 within the next 3-7 rounds…

Also, I should say, the Wreck is a later game thing. It won’t be that useful until around Tier 4 or Tier 5, or Industrial/space stage.

M1: Like camels, the fat cells of the two-headed ompards now host extra cytoplasm for water storage (drought resistance)
M2: More intelligence increase, now better remembering and sharing the locations of water sources to others of it’s kin.

Didn’t find an iron wall but I did find this glowing rock.

Mutation Uno: larger fermentation stomach (saltasaurus looking ah)

Mutation dos: improved smelling to search for fresh food and water in a area of dwindling supplies.
