Poll should now be live for the naming of the Hexaquill Planet. I’ll leave it up for a week before seeing which name wins.
By the way, if a tie does occur, will the tie-breaking RNG be from a website or an irl dice/coin throw?
It isn’t a big deal, but you misspelled my username on the naming poll.
A tie will be done by an online RNG spinner. I’ll try and record the results in case anyone gets upset by the results. To be clear I don’t plan on looking at the results until I have to actually check.
Sorry. I’ll try and fix it when I get home.
From the “Second” part of the poll I presume if a next poll of this kind was to happen, it would be hosted on whatever platform gets the most votes?
Nope. I’m just curious as to where people are accessing this poll the most. It could also help us know from an outreach perspective which platforms could see more love from us Devs
So would the less represented platforms get more love?
No idea honestly. It was something i decided to add right before making the poll live
As there have only been 5 options to choose from, will we need to make more names for the 3 remaining planets or will some of the name suggestions that didn’t make it into the poll be used to fill this gap instead?
We’ll see how I decide to handle that. The other names not chosen will be used for some of the other planets though
Speaking of, how will the names be assigned to the other planets?
Yet to see
Also poll will be ended in about 5 hours
How many votes on it so far?
Im about to check the results, but the last time I looked at it I saw that it had 35 votes cast in total
With exactly half of all votes that were cast, the name Pangonia has been chosen as the name of my planet. Thanks to everyone who participated in the naming of Pangonia. I will host more polls in the future to name the continents, mountain ranges, oceans, rivers and more.
Could we get the exact vote counts on the options perhaps?
Edit: Nvm you showed it on discord but not all people here are there…
I find it surprising the forum has the least share of users who voted on the poll…
same. I was expecting Reddit to have the lowest amount, but if people from the forums already saw it via discord that could explain it a bit. It could also be that forum users are a little more cautious about clicking links
Why would they be suspicious about a dev’s link?
