Progress Updates

Rather short the PU is this week…

It is going to be Easter Sunday, so that is probably why.

The next PU might be of similar nature…

Well let’s say the PU team have rather the skill at summarization or else those little things look quite complicated and time consuming

True. Sometimes however PUs have much more in them… Though I suppose not every PU will be like this.

Time to guess what the update will be called…
“Glaciating Currents”?

What will the next launcher version be called? 2.2.0?

If only someone could check the launcher’s Github repo to see the release milestones with their names…

By the way, is it to be expected like how we are still in microbe development but multicellular has also received considerable development, that when we are in multicellular development macroscopic will also receive some significant developments (as in, will the approach of having the prototype-stage just after the last non-prototypal stage extra polished kept)?

Is it just me, or are the 4th degree (e.g. 0.8.2.1) updates far rarer now than they used to be?

Just asking, how large is the deficit between the target money inflow level at which Hhyyrylainen’s pay can be sustained indefinitely and the actual level of cash inflow we have currently (which as is known is lower than the target level)?

Very roughly the income needs to go up by 30-35%

Had the gap between the target income and the actual income been growing or shrinking generally over the subsequent time (from ~2024 to now)? I recall after the peak in 2022 the money inflow has been generally stagnating somewhat…

I think that over the past year the deficit has been mostly the same. At least the slow, normal Steam unit sales have been pretty consistent since last fall. Though we’ve luckily had some spikes from sales (lower price) for Thrive.

We will see how much of the gap will be covered by 1.0.0 when it releases in a few months…

but steam sales are predicted to fall sooner or later , since the community could not purchase the game twice,so the pateron is the most reliable resource of income we could have, so my question did the patreons income increase?
