Progress Updates

Nice to know soon we won’t be so lonely anymore in multicellular. Now the fights will look insane with everyone slamming into each other like battering rams

I have a feeling it might take a while to get used to fighting those battles with for how long has multicellular been barren of the autoevo rivals of yours…

I wonder what hilarious or gamebreaking bugs will come out of such interactions?

Maybe there will be some flinging around the place

Probably both lol I can see cells flying everywhere or something

You can already see that you mean, or do you theorize that’ll happen?

β€œauto-evo running too slow in auto-evo is a major concern”
Well that sounds… auto-evo-ish.

There’s also an ongoing experiment to β€œstretch” membranes in Multicellular species to make them fit together more closely.

Does the membrane stretching depend on the orientation of the cells? It also looks like the main cell membrane is stretched less than membrane of the cells surrounding it.

Most probably, they are still pointy towards where they face

Ah yes, that should have been β€œin the Multicellular Stage” of course.

Yeah I figured out something was wrong about that but not what exactly

Would the membrane stretching thing have an impact on the SA:V concept?

  • Ongoing work on Multicellular Auto-Evo, now placing cells in some different patterns:
  • More tweaks to stretching membranes in multicellular species (all are the same cell type):

Would multicellular species with β€œhollow” spaces be possible using this Multicellular Auto-Evo?
Would such β€œhollow” spaces stretch membranes significantly different than if there was no β€œhole”?
Would different membrane types strech more or less than other types of membranes?

If there’s no hole I don’t think it’s a hollow space really

I think if we still do something with SA:V in Multicellular, any adjacent cells would be counted as fully β€œblocking” that hex side.

So stretching would not really affect that, but more so have the visuals match the effect better.

Unlikely for the methods I added so far, but we’ll see.

I believe it does, but I can get an example for you next week perhaps.

It’s been discussed, but not added at this time I believe.

Would we eventually get the ability to make the cells to stick even closer to eachother to create better skin-like tissues?

Feels like it was yesterday when the previous PU released…
When is Hhyyrylainen supposed to return again?
