I am ecstatic. This is a great late Christmas present, I mean, discussion of the aware stage, thermoplasts, almost multicellular stage programming? Thank you! I bet we’ll be playing multicellular critters before the apocolipse! (Sorry, as a pessimist I beleave 2021 will be worse then 2020 so we’re finnaly getting an apocolipse.)

X-COM music starts
It’s “chemoreceptor”, not “chemoreseptor”.
@hhyyrylainen, what’s this?
Perhaps now that I added “to the readme” it’s clearer. It’s related to a few messages that were posted on the dev discord asking why the community discord wasn’t linked anywhere in the repo.
I still don’t get what it is.
It’s about adding a Github repo shield /badge that links to those things.
These are the ones that are already there:
Why does moving organelles cost mp? it not like the organelle position grants any bonuses and probably mostly be used for aesthetics reasons.
Organelle position does matter, atleast when external parts are involved. Flagellum position effects speed, and pilus placement more obviously effects which sides of your organism are protected.
I believe that part movement costing the player will be fine, so long as the cost is relatively cheap. At the very least it can provide another optional place for players to spend leftover MP they might have.
Indeed organelle position matters a lot actually. Even the non-external ones effect your shape and your shape can help you.
And for example the position of flagella is also big, you strafe fast if you have a flagella on the side for example.
Piluses position effects where you can attack from and where you are defended, making a mouth out of two side pilus for example. Believe it or not that actually helps a lot.
