a better base of operations though, would be a space station made by us out of ants :3

we already have all the castes to make a building out of ants, plus, a vacuum inside the building is better than air inside the builfing if everyone can handle a vacuum

building new infrastructure off of existing infrastructure leads to more problems than buolding brand new infrastructure from scratch
