It is the oceans. Some maps have have the oceans colored very dark blue.

none of them seem to be designed by scientists. they are designed by artists instead. can you justify why each limb has the shape that it has? how do they collect matter? what are the evolutionary pressures shaping them? star treks “focused too much on eating so sometimes forgets to mate” creature is a darwinian heresy. such a being would not exist for even a single generation. the first law of lord darwin says thou shall be horn y. life ceases after the reproductionary period ends, unless the grandparents are needed for parenting. everything in your anatomy has to make sense, otherwise lord darwin wouldnt have created that organ.

it would still need to end up in space somehow. and grow. some of them look like literal whales. and some of them do ftl. the best explanation seems like they were created by the humans in those universes and then escaped a zoo.

This assuming the laws of evolution are exactly same in those universes. and the laws of the physics are the exactly same as in our universe, which probably they aren’t. Such as in the void whale case, I think they literally pop into existence from the void. Also, don’t forget magic could be a factor in some these cases.

I hope those things can’t grow on void alone then, because if they do, the days of the planetary people are counted.

The Warhammer universe is bonkers, including 40k, so it is entirely possible something like that may happpen.
