Hmmm. I’ll allow it but it will still be subject to rolls, it’ll just give a bonus to the other

A little bit past but 30 hr warning. If you don’t post by 48 the round will be locked and only the players who have submitted will be able to play that round. Nonsubmissions will be a round behind. Not a big deal but just wanted to let you guys know
I’ll be using a species from a forum game that never started, if that’s okay.
Summary
Name: Visirax
Ideal Biome: Riversides
Traits (positive): Main Species: Hiveminded, Photosynthetic. Laborer Subspecies: Claws, Reprogrammable Brains.
Traits (negative): Main Species: Unmoving, Large Water Requirements. Laborer Subspecies: Imprecise Thumbs, Weak Exoskeletons.
Description: A network of trees connected underground, the trees have small brains, but function as a collective, when it needs to do anything aside from sit there, it diverts some spare energy to another variant of its species, which is connected to the top of the trees until it needs to do something, it is a medium sized creature with sharp claws, and is roughly humanoid, but has a tiny brain which it reprograms to fit the mission it is being sent on.
The Visirax has been hit hard by the drought, and has had many if it’s trees die, leaving it’s population at around 400. The hive has recently tasked laborers with carrying saplings in every direction until they starve or find water, hoping that a new hive can be made to prevent the total extinction of their species.
THE RETURN OF THE ARCIMEA EMPIRE
Arcimea 3/4!!!!
Name: Arcimea
Race: Varied but mainly humans
Location: Valley Of Ancestors
Culture:
Arcimea is a unique tribe as it was originally a tribe of outsiders from those who were exiled due to a variety of reasons. The recent drought has caused Arcimea to rapidly expand due to the divisive and chaotic meeting of the elders causing many members of the other tribes to leave their respective tribes. This makes them very trusting towards outsiders due to most of them used being outsiders.
They highly value sharing amongst each other with ideas, culture, languages, and even resources frequently being shared among fellow citizens. Due to the fact that most of the members were usually unfairly exiled and the large amount of different cultures in the tribe, they have a distrust in authorities and other power structures.
The culture is diverse and changes frequently as the incoming citizens usually come with baggage with their upbringing from the other tribes. So any specifics details are regional to a subcommunity and may not apply to the larger tribe.
Leadership:
Due to the unique circumstances of the tribe, there are no leaders in Arcimea and so the tribe is quite decentralized even compared to the other nations. The closest thing to an official leadership would be a council of representatives which discuss past events, future plans, and new potential new laws in the tribe.
Participation and even enforcement of these plans is voluntary but most attend and follow these plans for the good of the people. They meet at the end of every season and are attended by trusted members of the various sub-communities in the tribe
Though there is a growing but controversial movement from the newer citizens to try to centralize the tribe leadership and have a more unified civilization. This is largely due to the recent growth making the current leadership not as efficient as they like it to be.

Species name: Layuxemnas
Traits:
High intelligence
Highly social (this species Dunbar’s number is around 500)
Episodic insanity (members of this species occasionally enter a mental state in which they may exhibit behaviours and symptoms similiar to those of severeal mental disorders. Symptoms and their severity varies between each episode, which can last between 2 to 18 hours.)(Gives the roll bonus to high intelligence)
Description: Layuxemnas are an hexapodal reptile-like species, they typically reach a lenght of 2,5 meters when excluding the tail and 3,5 meters when inclusing it. Layuxemnas are capable of switching from bipedal locomotion to hexapedal locomotion.
The head and part of the upperbody of a layuxemnas are covered in plugame typically purple in color, but the hue of individuals can vary in how much they tend towards the red or blue. Their head is also adorned by clusters of feathers that are significantly longer than the rest and that are covered in decoratory patterns.
Layuxemnas have a third eye located in the frontal part of their heads.
Houndreds of thousands of years ago, the layuxemnas faced a genetic bottleneck after their population was reduced to a few thousands individuals; while their species was able to recover their population, an extremely rate mutation that occasionally causes the conscious mind and the subconscious mind to temporarily merge, causing a series impareaments on the affected individual’s mind for the duration of the merge became widespread.
Tribe name: Teolos
Location: Valley of ancestors
Culture: In Teolos knowledge and wisdom are highly valued, physical powress is also seen as an important quality to have.
Teolosians worship a being named Exendar, but often refered to as “the hidden mind”. It is believed that Exendar is present in everything, whispering secret to their soul from which knowledge is derived. While teolosians believe that everything has a soul, they believe that their value is measured by their ability to know, as such animals have more value than inanimate objects and people (sapient species) have more value than animals. But among people teolosians believe layuxemnas to be the chosen ones, for they believe that when one enters an episode of insanity they are directly conversing with Exendar.
Mystics of Exendar often consume strange mixes and perform auto-lesionatory rituals on themselves to induce an episode into happening.
Leadership: Teolos is led by a council of the wisest and most knowledgeable philosophers of the tribe.
Guess It’s time to reuse one of the waiting species

Species name: Craygon Vagus (Wandering Craygon)
Optimal Species Biome: Tropical-Zone Islands / Tropical Areas near Ocean
Traits:
-Capable of Flight
-Good Swimmer
-Navigation Expert
Description: The Craygons are strange arthropodal creatures which resemble a hybrid of a lobster with a dragonfly. They have 2 pairs of insect-like wings which allow them to fly above water like an albatros. These wings can also be put on sides of their body, unlike the wings of dragonflies. Their tail looks fairly lobster-like, and is used for both air and water maneuvers. They have three pairs of arthopod-like legs below their body which they use to aid in swimming or, more importantly, terrestial locomotion, albeit with these legs being used for two such different tasks, these creatures aren’t really that good of a walker on land. Their head hosts some short lobster-like whiskers and short eyestalks with camera eyes at their ends. Their primary tool handling limbs are their 2 arms equipped with “claws” that have 5 “fingers”, 4 on sides and one slightly longer in the middle. They are primarly blue in colour, having darker shades at their whiskers, claws and eyestalks. An average adult Craygon is roughly 1 meter long in it’s base body-size and has a wingspan of around 4 meters.
Craygons can eat fish for which they dive into the water when a school of fish is spotted. They may also eat some plant-matter, like coconuts, fruits or edible undergrounds bulbs.
Tribe Name: Volcer
Location: Large Tropical Island
Culture: They highly value the great water and so a large chunk of their culture is centered around the waters of the seas and oceans. Outside of that, they generally try to make up to whoever did them good or bad - in the former they try giving them gifts or other valuable things, material or not, in order to please whoever did them good. In case they were hurt however, they will try to cause a similar amount of harm to whoever caused them pain or loss, most usually utilizing their flight to do so.
Leadership: Individual smaller islands or “coastline sectors” of larger islands will choose the most competent Craygon(s) from amongst the populace, by voting, to manage the community of the said populace. These Craygons meanwhile will form coalitions with their equivalents from other populaces (if they are close enough) to form larger governing bodies. These in themselves can form even larger entities basing on local geography and amount of craygons in the region. This hierarchy generally gives plenty of autonomy to it’s subdivisions, but still maintains enough power to do things ranging from organizing help for devastated communities or even waging wars in extreme cases.
hard choice hard choice
I think I will if possible, go on my chimeric sentient stuff ones again, this time I going to
submission
Race
Name: Nautilus Anomura
Description:
Inspiration: Cameroceras | Hermit crab |Scotoplanes |Amplectobelua |Octipuses |Cattlefish |Garden snail |Sea scorpion |Platerodrilus
A very strange species/race.
Their body is divided into 3 main parts:
Head - they have 2 camera eyes, a pair of rhinophore, a side rostrum with a radula inside it, 6 manipulative outstretched hunting arms with a small thumb on one side and a claw-like point at the end of the gripper on the other side, 40 cirrus for cleaning, [air mixing] respiration and sexual reproduction around the beak and aptychus plates to cover.
Body - 6 thick and robust tentacle arms for walking supported by exoskeleton plates and continuation of Cirrus arms for breathing hole (book lungs). The upper part is covered with wide and relatively protruding exoskeleton plates.
Tail - Aruf looks a bit like the tail of a hermit crab that rises up but they are actually a long segmented shell that curls upwards. Able to move it and straighten up. On the sides there are plates that look like layers used mainly for alerting, communication or movement. Also excellent as a digging and swimming movement (although less effective compared to digging)
[There is not much reference to anatomical structure because it is complex and irrelevant]
Living throughout the cold climates, this species is mostly omnivorous, with a predilection for the mostly ‘insectavore’ and ‘moss eaters’ common in the areas where they live.
This species is known for building impressive mud and grass structures capable of using a tail shell and its arms and they are manoliptive tentacles, relative to their very small size. The ability to dig relatively efficiently allows them to design their place and even for the future shelter and storage, useful in difficult times.
They mostly live in relatively small [15-40 individuals] but complex groups in which the females are the leaders [note - this is not a hive mind]
During the more difficult times, they switch to a diet of eating plant matter and sometimes the occasional scavenger, but that doesn’t mean they don’t know how to hunt. Their slow movement ability is compensated by ambush strategies [known as ground ambush and lure of prey by finding something attractive] which relies on the communication of very low bass clicks [by aptychus] - which, along with color change, serves as the main communication, being silent and lack voice box
In the more comfortable seasons, the females carry the eggs and offspring [nymphs] on their tail-conch while the males and childless females bring food to the rest of the group - ‘insects’, fruit and the more common meat.
Simple general information:
Size - up to 25 cm or 9.8 inch [physical limit]
Nutrition - 40% vegetable, 60% animal
Shell material - Chitin
Maximum speed - 22 km/h or 13.67 miles per hour (similar to the Komodo dragon, short bursts)
Traits: about ^^^^
Name: Andalantol
Location: Cfc (oceanic subpolar-tundra) Peninsula [Falkland/Norwth like climet]
Culture: Impressive architectural. In desperation to survive during the hard times, they loot others who need to. You can compare them to Nordics/Slavs. It’s just that construction is something more central to them than looting others.
The reference to construction and buildings is an important element in their lives - upon reaching sexual maturity, the male begins to build or dig (depending on the taste and availability of the place) in the nearby area and a female chooses the male according to his construction style and helps him build.
Sometimes several couples build the same structure and decorate it to their liking in cooperation. Most of the time there is no difference from a hierarchical point of view how the structure looks like.
Eventually, the couple lived in buildings.
There is no sexual difference regarding the hunter because of their morphological structure, so that each of them, in particular for the incubation of eggs and young (as explained), hunts or gathers according to the periods. When times are more difficult, in case there is a shortage of food, they resort to robbing others or scouting and searching for an ideal food source.
Leadership:
Led by the group of oldest women and also partly the oldest men in the group.
Old age is determined by their size and the length of the conch tail - longer = older.
Elders usually have decorations on their tails and also the most impressive structures.
This is one of my weird and interesting shows, enjoy
just being human cuz why not

I wonder if one day we’ll see the Doom PFP species being played by Doom in a forum game
Guess that there are 2 species from that FG now
here’s what I made
DIGGIN A HOLE
Name: the Ektili tribe (Cavedweller tribe)
Species: human subspecies called the Oustirik (Halfmen)
Subspecies traits: shorter and smaller than the average human, but stronger and with a sturdier build (basically dwarves)
Location: the caves near the Valley of Ancestors
Culture: the Ektili believe In the strength of the bond between tribe members, they value unity and greatly encourage the sharing of resources. These people also find great value in celebration and partying, as they love to hold grand feasts that feature lots of dancing and singing.
Beliefs: Although their religious beliefs are still in an archaic state, an idea has begun to spread among the tribe of the existence of Three great spiritual forces that hold major influence on the cycle of life, those being Theova (Destruction force/spirit), Evolumva (Creation Spirit/force), and Apiloxva (ERROR: TRANSLATION NOT FOUND)
Leadership: the tribe is governed by a select group of elders who are chosen to lead the people based on both their wisdom and experience, as well as their connection and bond with the other tribe members.
that’s right
ITS DWARF TIME
How many NPC nations can we hope to find (I hope that there will be plenty)?
That’ll depend on how the game develops. Normally I give the players some breathing room before they run into other organized people’s
48 hr cutoff. Expect the round sometime either tonight or by this time tomorrow. (1700 PST)
The giant marauder ‘ant
Species: Gamergate Myrmecocystus or the Giant marauder ‘ant’
Details: a insectoid species which posses two compound eyes on its head the species is divided into four separate caste, the ‘monarchs’ being the king and queen, the ‘scouts’ these are scouts for the band of family they compose they are also responsible for the young and feeding other members, after that is the ‘repletes’ these members are engorged during their youth becoming walking food storage for the moving band few are made due to their delicate needs and incapable of defending themselves. Lastly is the ‘vanguard’ or simply the soldier caste who is built to conduct raids on fellow warband or hunt down whatever the scouts report back, they’re incapable of feeding themselves as their mouth specialised deeply into fighting each other in raids or hunt prey though similar to the replete few are born as they’re energy intensive compare to the scouts. They stand slightly straight as four limbs stand around the central body to support it upwards with two limbs are higher up close to the mouth to manipulate items within reach with small feelers to sniff the air though they’re not reliant on them and rely more on eyesight. They’re around the size of a Chihuahua if not smaller but they make up for this with a number of members making the band up reaching up to 500 members in a single band more if season is good and they’re tolerate of more than one queen and king pair however these band quickly shatter when resources become scare or pairs fight eventually killing the other pair.
Environment: Arid
Culture: The G.Marauder culture vary from band to band but a general common trait with it is the founding process which original took place in the air is long gone and both king and queens search during the night with vestigial insect wings to find from another band their mate striking out as a member which wish to try their luck and start their own band. During the start they will be stationary and guard a small clutch before becoming nomadic after the first scouts and vanguard hatch. However the queen and king gotta protect their position from outsider which may want to replace them as head of their band as all members are capable of changing into queens and kings but require social cues to being the change.
Leadership: The kings and queens have large sway within their bands however should the band deem them unfit they can quickly cast them out for the health of the band.
Sorry for the delay, I have no problem with starting behind I just found out when I checked after going to sleep, and uh yea a bit rushed lol
It’s all good. Thank you, looking forward to endless insect wars. I’ll try to include you but it’ll depend on if I can get the others done in time for the round. Priority is in the order of posting.
Aneric is the name of the planet this game takes place on?
Isn’t it already happening everywhere in our world?
[My it not considered an insectoid, but a cephalopod, because squid [and not all the body its exoskeleton]]
but we do have a lot of insects here
lucky not mosquitos
Yes the name of the planet is Aneric.
And yeah but I’m imagining like huge insects to fight people. I know they are smaller than humans but dog sized ants are still belgiuming terrifying
tbh I was about to name change them to Giant maurader ants given they’re nomadic and don’t make permenant nest
Sure just lmk, the round is about half written so it should be up tonight
