You have 1 day left to get food before you die of hunger.

I am enacting an inactive policy:

  1. You will still be open to attack(to encourage activity)
  2. You will however not die of thirst, hunger, or any need.

I eat grass in desperation, unless I have spare food, in that case I will eat that. Afterwards, I will scavenge for berries, and attempt to stockpile them in just a case like this. After that, I will dump my TP in logging, and hunt animals for fur. I then try to find a source of water that is OK quality or above, to drink and to share it’s location with the rest of the Empirium.

I guess I will go fishing, and also, will we still gain TP when inactive? If we do, I have a bit to spend (43, to be precise), and I will spend it on observation and curiosity, herbal medicine, shaman healing, and animal domestication, leaving me with 3 TP.

I think no, so that people have to be active to progress.

how about people passively earn 0.1 TP per day they are offline?

For the sake of speed I will allow you to have 43 TP. The passive generation rule is only enacted from now on.

Oh boy I have a lot of TP: Herding, and fishing will be researched

I am happy to announce that our span of technology is moving into the neolithic!
It remains in sight along with the introduction of cultural traits.

AYY NEW PING hopefully the empirum will expand now
Also I would like to specialize into becoming a shaman.

Do I know farming?

definitely not yet because of inactivity

Can I research farming?

If you do then you promise to be more active compared to other players.
Quick poll:

  • Farmed plants grow at a more regular pace(0.05 servings per day for one plant)
  • Farmed plants grow every season(1 serving per season for one plant)

I think Wise Values would work better as cultural development, instead of a technology.
I also research sedentism, gather stones to make an axe and cut down some trees to make a tent and fire. I then eat some berries.

Ok I do want realism at the level of the game Thrive so each farmed plant(just assuming wheat as an example)will normally grow 0.04 servings per day. However, there will be a “harvest season” when each wheat plant will produce 0.25 servings each day. This “harvest season” will last differently for different plants.

I will eat some more grass and hunt.

what about some plants don’t produce in winter in non tropical areas(though winter isn’t really a thing in tropical areas)

it would also really be most unless some are added to make it easier

welcome to real life winter it is pain living in the middle of an interglacial period within an ice age

the starting land “Booga Booga” is a temperate biome and thus winter will be a mild challenge
