Could you provide more details, please?

The fired gametes just swim forwards until they detect a compatible gamete close enough. At that point they turn towards the other gamete. So if there are no compatible gametes or the gametes pass each other too far away, they will not “home in” to each other.

What Hhyyrylainen said, um also what is your age since birth @PineaAutotrophis ?

Can you please stop accusing everyone on the forums being too young, please? We don’t have to scrutinize every new user to try to figure out their age. It’s not a very welcoming environment to be questioned like that when you join.

I realest a gammate inches away from my mates game mate and it just sits there. Doing nothing.

It’s usually closer to actually hitting them, to be honest.

But also, do you have anisogamy?

No both my genders are identical

If it is close to the other gamete, it might not be compatible. Use your mouse to hover over them to check what type and species of gamete they say they are. If they are incompatible then that would explain the effect.

So I can check for compatibility?

Yes, in the top right panel it shows what your mouse is hovering over, so hover over your gamete and the other gamete to see what they are.

It’s the same display as what shows compound cloud densities in the stage.

I think I might just not be giving the gamemates enough time 2 conect

Did you wait and they eventually did manage to engage eachother?

I think I’m not giving Them enough time. They are pretty slow, actually.

You should try to make them faster then so as to not have them be so slow you thought they weren’t moving at all apparently

Yeah I’ll do that once I enter the editor

Once you do it report back on if it helped with getting the gametes moving faster when close to eachother
