M1: change my soul parasitism tendrils to draw energy(not health, more like XP or its ability to act quickly) from the mist rather than Deus(why is it trying to get a Literal God mad at me?). both alive and long dead are affected by this.

change species name to Cancrorum Venenatorum(venomous crab) and nickname to “venomous wall crab”

Round 29 - Year 2, Month 5

As the events of the last month are being recalled all over the forum, many users start to dig for more informations about The Mist aswell as other cyberspacial things, with CPO-RC being especially involved in research in this field. They find signs that the forum’s species seem to be atleast partially controled by some entity, which prevents them from dying out or being too successful. For now, they’ve named this strange being “The Balancer”.

With the Internet Wizards being gone, the users hope that no more crash events caused by them will happen.

Meanwhile at the posts of the forum, the creatures find themselves hunted by The Mist, which no longer kills thru a disease, but can directly consume the unlucky creatures who were caught off guard. With this new thread emerging, members of both S. TeaKinges and D. Cogitandi started creating “ritual sites”, whose purpose is thought to be warding off mist from important sites or population centers of those species.

The mist consumes many members of two species

P. Narrenists and F. Spiritusvivi lose 1 mutation and 3 Coservation Points at round 30

The Mist Regenerates 4 HP.

MIST STATUS:

  • 33/35 HP
  • LEVEL 3 - can take away 1 Mutation and 3 Conservation Points from 2 species EACH ROUND
  • Regenerates 4 HP / Round after it gets damaged
  • Has 2 Fiefs - D. Bontopius and D. Amplicoma; They give The Mist a tribute if it’s dealt more damage than it can regenerate, where 1 Conversation Point = 1 HP.

Species

NPC - Sapiepoda TeaKinges, “The Crawler” - HO

  • Medium Omnivore

Mutations: Sorcerers (+1 Strenght)

S. TeaKinges’s shamans have progressed further, now being able to even ascend into the cyberspace, albeit that requires a precise ritual to succeed. As so, the species now acts as it’s own, independent faction in this field, trying to free itself from foreign influence.

@doomlightning - Dichorisare Cogitandi, “Divider” - ER

  • Small Herbivore

Mutations: Fire (+1 Strenght)

D. Cogitandi followed in steps of the crawlers, harnessing the power of the flames.

This species has been exterminated by the faster AI cursors, with the last member trying to defend themselves via fire usage before being sliced from all sides. As it turns out, the cursors are quite heat resilient.

The entire D. Bontopius populations was devoted last month on hunting M. Cat-Bestiae, which in itself has attacked mist multiple times.

(Target superior in 2 statistics, Hunter superior in 1 statistic)

The Swarm manages to kill off most of the children which in the other case would’ve repopulated the Cat Beasts’ species.

@willow - Cancrorum Venenatorum, “Venomous Wall Crab” - HO

Mutations: Mist Energy Draw (+1 B Speed)
MM: Cyberparasite Infiltration (+1 Stealth)

From D. Amplicoma a new genus has evolved, with it’s species being called “C. Venenatorum”. This new species has split off a caste of parasitic soul tendrils, which now draw excess energy from The Mist, allowing the specimens to act faster than before,

The Mist made the “main line” parasitic tendrils act and look more like actual Fabuloid souls, making them a lot harder to detect.

You may branch off from another species.

Wait, could Deus bring species back from extinction using genesis?

That would require the species to be still alive. After it has gone extinct, this is no longer possible.

I thought that giving you a message saying why exactly are you nearing extinction would be enought of a warning? It all is within the rules, 2 rounds while having 1 stat below the hunting pressure results in a dead species.

Well, Dichorisare cogitandi was extant until last round, and since Deus regulates the ecosystems of the forum he should have knowledge about them. So he should be able to recreate them from memory.

What if: we make it so that this is the only vote that does a roll, if the roll is high Deus succeeds to revreate the species exactly as it was before, otherwise the species is recreated with flaws because Deus misremembered or forgot some traits or fails completely if the roll is too low.

I guess we can do that.
1, 2 = fail
3, 4 = flawed
5, 6 = success
It will cost a mutation to roll the dice

Mutation 1: Utilize genesis to revive Dichorisare cogitandi. (Can’t wait to see the users’ face if this succeeds)

Mutation 2: Covenant - Allows organisms to create a covenant with Deus, for now the covenant only makes the organisms be covered by Genesis in order to decrease their chance of extinction.

So yeah, enter covenant with me and I will grant your species bonuses that will make them less likely to go extinct, for now it’s just genesis but I’m going to add more later, in exchange I want you to fight against the mist (I’m also going to add bonuses that will make you do more damage to the mist).

M1: C. Venatorum souls can take energy directly from light, sound, and heat that passes through them, and have a maximum to the energy they can store, with the percent of the energy of those types that passes through dead souls being inversely proportional to how much energy is in their stores. (dead venatorum souls that are having their energy drained just fast enough to keep their energy stores fully empty, but not kill them the rest of the way, are pitch black, cause the gasses within them to precipitate, and are impenetrable to sound.) souls with full energy stores cannot take in more energy.

M2: evolve a cell type that stores excess chemical and thermal energy in the soul’s energy stores and removes energy from the soul energy stores when needed by turning it into glucose and oxygen with CO2 and water. if i have fat cells, replace those with these.

What the hell is a “Doajfslsaj”?

U know, i know, everyoneknow.
