Do you think you still have a scar from that cut?

If I do, I cannot see it, since it would located on the top of my head.

Ah, so it will most likely remain invisible for a good while then.

I’m not sure if it was clear from my previous post, but the sounds stopped way before the blinds were lifted. By “this entire episode” I meant the whole thing beginning with the sounds and the following anxiety attack. I can try to rephrase some things to try to make it clearer.

Was this the only case of this happening or were there other, perhaps milder, cases of the sounds showing up?

Not really, (at least none that I can recall). While I did have other instances of hearing weird things, none of them really resembled the events that I have previously described. Perhaps the closest thing could be an event from when I was ~10 y.o.: I remember that while getting ready to sleep, I suddenly heard a bizarre, hard to describe, complicated synthy-drony type noise in the A minor scale. This noise lasted for <10 seconds, but it was enough to bring me to tears out of shear confusion and terror over what I had just heard.

Was the incident you just decribed the last notable one?

I guess? There were plenty of other “incidents”, but nothing quite like these two. They were typically:

  1. Sounds of aircraft, vehicles, industrial installations, etc. that I found to be creepy (kinda unrelated, but I still find helicopters to be unnerving and feel an irrational impulse to hide whenever I hear them approaching).
  2. Creepy sounds of (most likely) animals.
  3. Auditory pareidolia (typically in audially cluttered environments)
  4. Anxiety-induced auditory “hallucinations(?)” (very rare, I remember only two obvious instances of this occurring. Could be a form of the previously mentioned auditory pareidolia)
  5. Things that don’t fit into any of the previous categories (I recall one instance, when, while lying in bed, I heard a sort of a “seeiishhh”-type noise akin to something quickly flying through the air. It lasted <1 second. It scared me somewhat, so I got up and went to tell my dad. He said that it may have been a meteorite)

(Also, sorry for being so slow to reply. I’ve been really busy with my schoolwork recently so I don’t spend as much time on the forums as I used to).

Did the frequency of these rogue sounds appearing decrease over time?
