Thalassopocalypse

Will Cha’s parasitism start to affect other players?

I suppose we can develop some sort of an immune response.

Let me see:

  1. Use the raised roots to create a type of weir that can help with rising water (similar to a mangrove)
  2. Reinforce the stem with silica fibers (similar to horsetails)

You mean which of the options, exclusion or inclusion?

Again, this forum is kind of abstract. It’s meant to represent a post-mass extinction. But I do think they’d make it in.

Well they are quite the survivable creatures if you think about it…

I’ll spec my two mutation points into better camouflage.

Can camouflage be ever maxed out?

β€œMaxed out” camouflage would probably just be going invisible.

So becoming transparent and stuff I guess. That’s probably not possible for larger creatures, but smaller ones like springtails could possibly grasp for that…

Probably. Although it doesn’t seem to harm the host.

…Well as long as cha doesn’t go full parasite mode.

Mutations: 1: Evolve the teeth to enable a wider more opportunistic range of diets, like for example being able to tear small pieces of tissue off other organisms in a cookie cutter shark-like fashion or to hunt other small enough animals like springtails.

2: Fin-like extensions on the sides of the body to boost movement

Speaking of nematodes don’t there exist some species of them with symbiotic algae?

I know there are ones that have a symbiotic relationship with a bioluminescent bacteria.

Given it isn’t parasitism but commensalism specifically phoresy I doubt any species are really affected as those spores attached to a β€œhost” just get a ride out of it before getting spread around by the host to new land.

Salt glands which divert excess salt inside the moss to the moss outer membrane where wind or water may wash away the salt that has gathered on the surface and a flatter surface when splitting into two in water so they remain boyant as much as possibe so the copy doesn’t just drown.

I wonder if perhaps there will be no land left by the FG’s end lol

So Earth will become Water World?

That’s for animalia to decide but I think it would be a fitting course for the FG.

I wonder what will happen after this FG, as events in this FG influence the next one Animalia makes…Maybe it will take place in the next Epoch?
