Thalassopocalypse

Well on the bright side the trigonotarbids wonโ€™t eat you.

It seems like springtails are not mentioned as inhabiting the seas, should I take this as the inhabitation attempt having failed?

Each inhabitation event has a chance of failing. You guys were just kinda lucky (I roll a dice)

You mean lucky to fail?

For the last couple of rounds all the playersโ€™ habitation events were successful.

I see.
M1: Try to spread to the moss mats again
M2: Better plant consumption ability

Mutation 1: Better digestion to digest algae/plankton.

Movement: Move to West Mangroves

Name: I will rename to Clarkina poikilomonstrum, from Greek ฯ€ฮฟฮนฮบฮฏฮปฮฟฯ‚ (adj.)
poikรญlos - diverse, varied, various, varicoloured, due to having camouflage and traits from across previous Periods of life:

  1. Spikes like Yalignia Spiciformis (Ediacaran)
  2. Proboscis (2 cm) similar to, but not yet as long as Opabinia (Cambrian) and Tullimonstrum (Carboniferous)
  3. Horns with suture patterns like Orthoceras (Ordovician)
  4. Scorpion-like tail barb (Silurian)
  5. Mini proto-placoderm like plates (Devonian)
  6. Looks like Tullimonstrum (Carboniferous)
  7. Saber-like carnivorous teeth (Permian)

Oh right, Iโ€™ll name my species Collembola Stratum.

Do we know if other species will split off from Player species?

Thatโ€™ll be up to you guys to find outโ€ฆ

(Oh yeah by the way, can you guys give me rough descriptions of your creatures? I appreciate them.)

In addition to this, I still have the large eyes of Conodonts and camouflage. Oh, and my total size is 10 cm.

I wonder how much weirder everyone else will look in several turns?

Let me know if I have exceeded the size limit for two points yet.
Mutations: A pharynx with grinding teeth for better food processing, and better eyesight (Complex shapes and colors.)

New species name: Nematodoa Radiodontomimus ( Thread-like radiating tooth mimic.)
Description:

  • Typical worm-like body with a series of radiodont-like fins along the side.
  • Mouth full of teeth for an opportunistic diet.
  • Ability to breathe both air and water due to their gills being able to absorb oxygen from the air so long as they remain moist like mudskippers.
  • Closed circulatory system with a three chambered heart for improved oxygen and nutrient flow.
  • Monogastric gut system.

I think you could use adding a โ€œhide detailsโ€ box under each species to write their mutations and actions in there.

For Collembola:

  • Better Camo
  • Hibernation
  • Superior Responsibility to Stimuli
  • Herbivory Adaptations - The Digestive System
  • High Moisture Tolerance
  • Salt Water Tolerance
  • Better Hebivory

Moves:

  • Mangroves
  • Moss Mats x2

Yes it seems I caught up slowly with the size trend, this could be an issue, so I must put in effort to close the gap
M1: Some venom in my bites
M2: More size

If everyone moves up to being larger what will be left to occupy the small niches? The NPC species?

Mutation uno: Larger mats that can be supported by interlocking with other mosses.

Mutation dos: Sharing resources with neighbouring mosses when floating in water

Description: Looks like a moss. (Gonna be honest idk how you describe a species that barely changed from the look of a normal moss without just describing a moss)

I have no name changes so far thought out.

I think you WILL have to come up with one though, unless Animalia will also make species names like AA does when the species master has no idea for a species name themself.

Wait, so we allowed to mutate venom, but not poison?

Seems pretty weird since venom shouldโ€™ve taken as long to evolve as poison, unless this is some very crude stuff here.

Iโ€™d doubt it, I mostly put it there to see if I could

If I canโ€™t evolve full venom Iโ€™ll evolve crude venom
