Thalassopocalypse

So pretty much extra nasty saliva

uhh no.

Venom would take too long to evolve

Would it take long to integrate some infectious bacteria into the saliva?

I still find it somewhat comical that the human bite is not something you actually want to be bitten by, as we have a lot of bacteria in our mouths and we can bite hard. Nowhere near like a komodo dragon in deadly bacteria but it isnโ€™t pretty still.

Impressive considering our mouths wouldnโ€™t have been used for actually doing the kill for a few million years probably

Yeah, it is still used for mastication I suppose, so it gotta be somewhat strong, hence why we can bite fingers off if our brains didnt stop us from doing it.

Kind of funny that in bears for example mouths apparently get stronger the โ€œoppositeโ€ way where the more carnivorous kins have weaker bite forces.

I guess mine will still be a fern.

Itโ€™s a tree fern with scattered roots.

  1. Specialization of some of the cambium cells to store nutrients.
  2. Strengthening of roots with additions of rhizomes to the root system.

Have all players voted yet?

Seems like so

Major changes to the biosphere have been detected, the land invasion of the still mostly empty ocean has increased although no oceanic megafauna (or megafauna at all) exists as of yet. Large browsing herbivores have yet to appear but the first Mesofaunal animals such as the Visitor Roaches have appeared. Pokilos have been starved out of the Central Mangroves due to the lack of edible food, their population has slightly decreased. Pelagotoma (formerly the springtails) have colonized the oceanic Hydrobryum. Ferns have been super successful and are likely to spread the mangrove biomes even further next round, a marshlike archipelago is to be expected.

Looks like there might be a lack of stuff to eat for the herbivores if theyโ€™re not careful..

Excuse me, why did our species name proposals seem to have got scrapped?

I shall grow further, thatโ€™s all for now

M1: Lower overall density to better float in the water

How much cold resistance did you need to develop for living in colder biomes?

Did Animalia state that before? I would guess like 2 mutations at the maximum?

I put your scientific names in the back for common names, they did get accepted I just converted them into common names for us to use.

Mutation 1: Six protofins develop on the ventral axis - one pair near the head, one pair near the center of the body, and one pair near the tail - for better movement and speed.

Mutation 2: Jaws at the end of the proboscis become longer and more Tullimonstrum-like to better catch food.
